This should not be a matter of "will it help the economy"
Are prescription drugs only available because it helps out economy? NO, its because sick people rely on them for relief from pain and sickness. Is alcohol only legal because of the economy? NO, its legal because its out choice, not the gov. Prohibition doesn't work, which is why we are having this conversation today, if it did work, there wouldn't have been over 6,000 deaths last year at our borders! If it worked, we wouldn't be spending millions and millions of our tax dollars to ruin peoples lives over a plant that grows naturally and helps the sick! If it worked, our laws would not cause more harm than the substance itself! If it worked, the United States of America wouldn't have the highest drug use percentage out of ALL countries! Time to change the laws! |

I do not know what many of you think but the subject of marijuana/cannabis legalization is a thorny one indeed. Although pot is widely used, almost as much as cofee/alcohol/tabacco.. An interesting site I have found on this subject is http://LegalPot.com . If you wanna know more about this topic visit this link (i liked the section on growing your own pot a LOT).

probably...think about it, if pot was in anyway less regulated for recreational use, there would probably be some type of age restriction..lets say 21. Teens consume alcohol, point of fact. How do they get alcohol..fake ids, older friends, parents, shop lifting, etc. So if pot was sold in stores, at a clinic or whatever, basically we are talking about a much more convenient and a much bigger supply of pot..where these teens would not be relying on the underground for this drug, but like alcohol, their big brothers, sisters, parents, their fake id, or whatever...i mean why not? It would be easier to get, and would probably follow the same trend as underage alcohol consumption. Should it be legal? Thats a different question..i mean obviously there would be a rise in intoxicated operation of motor vehicles along with the rise is accessability...anybody who thinks thats foolhardy is living in a dreamworld; especially when talking about teen use..where teens dont always make the soundest choices.

Yes they will. Hear it at school all the time "how kool it would be if they legalize it"

Teens find it easier to buy pot from a drug dealer who does not ask for identification than it is to go to a liquor store and be rejected for not being of age. So, no, teens will not smoke more dope if it is made legal.
