How sad is it that the victims felt it was a bad thing for them to testify. He abused his child and his grandchild and got away with it.

The accusers could not keep the same story more than once in court so the judge allowed the case to be dismissed. Also, the party accusing him of such wrong-doings hardly showed up for court and refused to take lie-detector tests, whereas Wayne took 2...1 while under sedation and passed both with flying colors!!!

Eh... I don't buy it. Very credible sources testify to the truth of his wrongdoings. A lot of what he was accused of happened a long time ago; therefore, stories could get confused. Plus, such violent and horrifying abuse can often be mentally taxing. People often have difficulty recalling the details.

Children that have been sexually abused often can't get their story straight because they're scared. This man got away with horrible things he did to his own grandchildren while he took them out on his boat. It is a known fact that pediphiles can't be cured. So look out, don't let your children anywhere around him. His charges got dimissed because the acuser didn't have as much money to hire a good attorney, plus she's been fighting this for many years and just gave up out of survival. These children will need therapy for years to come. Don't you think for one minute that this man didn't have connections to get him out of these charges. My god, he was the Mayor!

For Abdul Jabar: Why don't you rent a house with him if you dig him so much! Always some idiot going to bat for and sympathizing with the criminal! It is hard for me to believe that a mother/grandmother just gives up after something terrible like this (she should no longer consider herself a mother or caring family member of any kind). It is a shame that the person hiring him in FL isn't aware of what this creep is really like so he could immediately deny him the job there. FL should be a great opportunity for him to impose his will on children again since we don't prosecute him and allow him to roam freely in a state that will be caught off guard -- you can bet he will strike again! Great job Virginia!

Is this guy really moving away? Because so far he has been holding a permanent seat at the local convenience story, otherwise known as Get N Zip. This guy somehow managed to drag things out until nobody wanted to rehash it just one more time, and while all this was going on he still pursued a public position. I mean come on - Is he going to live out the rest of his life here?

Also, I must ask - Abdul, who told you about these alleged lie detector tests? Did the petson who told you happen to mention how much they cost or where they were taken? Maybe you should look more closely at the source of information.

he shuld be in jail, its not like he never has done this crap before. Its all in who you know in the court system. Children and parents beware. I know I get creeps everytime I pass him on the street.

Is this ugly perverted child molester still sitting in the store every day? He obviously enjoys the attention of being seen in public and serving as an everyday reminder to the citizens of what he did! Why does the manager allow this type of creep to loiter on a daily basis in the store? He should be told to "get n zip"!

and this is just one example of why our town is such a mess-what position did this creep hold? i think it was something high up, mayor or something? I have been avictim of abuse and did manage to get my abuser convicted-but i am telling you, it is not easy! If he was tried in Westmoreland county, then believe me, those good old boys would have wanted to let him go! they are all about protecting the man!

I thought he was moving to Florida to count fish or check pots or something???? Did that plan change?

This fool wasn't even qualified to be mayor! Does anyone know why he never attended Colonial Beach Public School (like his older brother did) while his family was living there? I know, but I would like to see if anyone else does. Elections in CB are popularity contests without consideration for who is best qualified!
