Fat Daddy's

Has anyone been to Fat Daddy's on Debbie Lane and if so, what were your thoughts?

I saw an ad that billed it as a "classy" kind of lounge but then I see other ads that depict it as your typical testosterone-fed sports bar.

Its too packed.There was no room to even move.Maybe in a few months it wont be so bad.

If you are looking for the typical testosterone-fed sports bar, this one is on steroids.
I would wait a few months and maybe they will have the kinks worked out, then again maybe not.

Yep a guys bar. Food is typically. No real stand outs here, except maybe the jalapino cheese sticks. Haven't tried their steaks ($$). Great place for a "man's man business" meeting. Go for happy hour to stetch your buck.

yeah it was pretty much what TomK mentioned. I think waiting a few months might be a good idea to really see how that place shakes out. My wife thinks it's going to remain the country-boy, pickup-driving douche-bag convention. I, personally, see it changing over to some of the Arlington/GP/Duncanville gansta/ghetto-ho wannabe hangouts.

How rude and ignorant was that for Drinky Crow to say things about BLACK people...very racist and somewhat disturbing that you would think in that manner...it's 2009 and not every black person is a how do you say it "Arlington/GP/Duncanville gansta/ghetto-ho wannabe hangouts." And if you are black...there is more to us that meets the eye.

I went about two weekends ago and the band was terrible! You could not dance to what they were playing. The DJ was really great, though! We saw a coupke of old dudes trying to get a fight started on the dance floor! That was pretty hysterical. LMAO!

I acually like that place its nice b/c u cant smoke inside but for people who do smoke there is a nice out side patio and a fire place out side, all though the two times i went the bands did suck but the music from the dj in between the bands was awesome, we will be partying there march 7th for me and my girl's bdays so hope there is a good band if not we always know how to have a badass time and get wild!~

I live very close to Fat Daddy's, and I have been several times. It has wonderful atmosphere, fun people that both frequent and work there. No drama, just fun, and it's very nice, and the bands are great.....]

Lets see it's so crowded on the weekend with the kids you can't get waited on and as far as classy try again. Maybe after the new wears off it will be better. The food was OK it wasn't worth the wait or the cost though. The only plus is it is smoke free but I would rather go next door and inhale smoke at KG's because at least you can get waited on there.....Also most of the waiters and waitresses go to KG's before working there and get their "drink on" maybe thats why no one waits on anybody...

Guess I won't try this one out. Any one change my mind?

I thought it was a GREAT place with a great mix of all kinds of people, all ages. Everyone seemed very friendly, and from all social levels. Top name bands that play at nice places like Cool River and Glass Cactus play there. People actually dance as soon as the music starts, unlike Sherlock's where they just don't get into it until they are wasted. I LOVE the fact that you don't have to stink of smoke and can actually breathe. Plenty of attractive people of both sexes. It was hard to find a place to park, but they are working on a bigger parking area. It's huge!! I am so glad we have a place like this in our area!

We just had dinner there for the first time last evening. LOVED the decor - anyone that can hang a top fuel racer upside down on the ceiling is very cool in my book. We went at 6:30 on a Saturday evening, right before the UT March Madness basketball game. Our party of eight was seated right away, our waitress was awesome, the food was yummy! Nachos, Chicken Fried Steak, Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Hamburgers for us and everything was spectacular. It was no more expensive than any other mainstream restaraunt,(Chili's, Friday's) and we had a lot more fun because it was different. All eight of us said that we were looking forward to coming back soon.(Oh, and the table next to us ordered shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and the shrimps were HUGE!) I vote YES on Fat Daddy's!

Fat Daddys is an awesome place to party on the weekends, they have reasonably priced drinks and an awesome late night bar menu (try the hot wings). And yes, while parking can be kind of scarce, they offer COMPLIMENTARY VALET on fridays and saturdays!! All in all this is the place to be on the weekends in Mansfield Texas!!!

Fat Daddy's is one of the largest restaurants I have ever seen. The decor is nice, the food is bland, the service is awful. It caters to tatooed, red neck, Nascar wannabes, who are just itching to fight. The place is not appropriate for my children. I will not return with my family.

Fat Daddy's is like a Humperdinks kind of feel to it. It's all american food, with lots of sport memorabilia. It's a very large establishment with several private rooms, a dance floor and a gameroom. Our party went for lunch. The food was very tasty. Guys love this place for the classic cars on the showroom floor, but it is inviting for families that just want a fun night out. I would go again and even invite church friends back.

I don't recall seeing the word "BLACK" ANYWHERE in Drinky Crow's post. Anyone else see the word "BLACK".

I just went there for dinner on a Friday night with family and friends. The food was reasonably priced, service excellent and fast and the atmosphere was great.
I look forward to going there more often, both as a bar patron and for dining out with my wife.
