Only thing that may ruin it is the attitude of the Pizza maker. Nice guy but, always is complaing and seems down in the dumps all the time. Rene's used to be Roberto's then changed name to Rene's then went and moved in with his Brothers Business. La Isla Mexican food. Restaurant died after that.

I like most things at Bartolini's but I just can't get into their pizza. I can not find Keystone anymore it used to have a big balloon on top. It is now deflated I guess. Like someones campaign.

Yes, it is nice to see Warren back posting. For a minute there I thought he was "undercover" in town looking for crack dealers to make a case:):):)

When Roberto's was still down by what is now called 'Dummys Lounge" or for us old timers, Herbs. Red cards and collect 20 from Roberto's and Yellow cards 15 for M.V

Good to be back. The cold/virus/infection, whatever it is, is still lingering, but feeling much better than a week ago. A good shot of 80 degrees I hope will help. And thanks for the help. I now remember the Keystone Cafe is the place across the street from the Diner. Another fine hometown establishment. See you at the village board meeting tomorrow?

We have restaurants in Midlothian, that's a joke! If you ask me none of them are restaurants that's why we need a place to eat here. All of them are way to expensive. The other day I went to "The Diner" and ordered a brocolli and cheese omelet and sausage, nothing else, and they charged me $9.00, what a joke. The omelet was the size of a golf ball and the sausage tasted like pencils.

You forgot about the triple Jack and Coke you drank before you went in and lost the change after paying the bill.

Even though I didn't vote for them as my FAVORITE ( I voted The Diner because Gum Wah wasn't on there), Taurus Flavors is pretty good. Their ice cream, which you can make into shakes, is great and the steak sandwich is awesome! Try it, I get everything - no cheese. The only thing is you have to have cash, no credit/debt cards. Let me know what you think!

I LOVE chinese food, but like I said, a little skeptical with new things.#1 Chop Suey in O.F. has been getting my business for years, but I'd rather support a Midlo business given the opportunity.

EVERYTHING! I'm not a seafood eater but my sis-in-law (who used to work there) loves the crab ragoons. The General Tso's chicken & Orange Chicken is what I always get. The veggie eggrolls are like no other. He uses peanut butter to hold them together! My husband has been eating there for years; we have never had a bad order. Plus, Bruce is great! When I was pregnant, I had high blood pressure and really had to watch my salt. BUT, being preggo and craving everything, Bruce made custom foods for me to meet my cravings and no msg. Anything I wanted he made up for me!! Try eating in there too, the amount of food is huge!!

Another reason I love eating at these places (the Diner, Gum Wah,Taurus Flavors...) is because of the friendly staff. Where else can you go and have the owner, Mike Kenny, sit and have a cup of coffee with you and all the waitress know you by name. They even know your kids names. Bruce will explain EVERYTHING on the menu (he's done it for me several times lol) and then also hold a friendly chat with you. I was in Hog Wild and saw the guy behind the counter not only explaining but had one of the cook hold up a pork chop so the lady could actually see how big it was. Chris & Dom always have a smile on their face and ready with a quick joke for the kids. All of these places are great and should be supported more.=)

My husband loves the Empress Chicken. I'm a beef fried rice person myself. I don't venture too far from the beef dishes though. Beef and peapods, beef and broccoli, etc. They don't make anything "bad" there. It's just a question of do you like the ingredients.
