Exactly Question. The guy who was convicted was from Chicago's Englewood community. He came here and committed a crime.

But, Oak Forest, like any other community, has their own 'home grown' trouble. People just need to keep their eyes open in their neighborhoods and alert police to any suspicious activity.

I don't care what anyone sez about Oak Forest, They provide the finest services in any towns that I know of. That includes P.D - F.D - and P.Works and caring for our Seniors. When ever I have come in contact with any of them, they are very Professional and take pride in their work!

This story has nothing to do with OFPD. Those men followed George home from Pulaski and 159th because they knew he had money! OFPD had no control over that. The police were there when they got the call and they did there job. Oak Forest police do a fine job.

While it is true, Resident of OF, that the beginning of the story has nothing to do with the OFPD, the ending sure does! I'm glad we all agree on that!

They can't be everywhere, but it's good to know they are only a phone call away!

If more people got involved with their neighbor hood and called the P.D. when they see something unlawful, the sooner we can run the thugs out of town. I have no problem picking up the phone.

Nothing wrong with Oak Forest, it's the shaddy element that's not happy. I guess they are mad that our P.D. is good at what they do. Most people have no idea what cops go through on a shift, you could only know that if you are a cop or friends with one.

Every call is different and there's always a chance for something bad to happen, but they keep doing it, day after day. I have the utmost respect for anyone who wear's a badge. They are our hometown soldiers.

The people who "hate" on the OFPD, are most likely the people doing the illegal things and getting busted.

Don't you just wish that you knew what Minco's real name was so that when you read of his arrest we can remind him of his/her comment?

Instead, I just hope he (let's assume it's a 'he') realizes that he could end up like the person in the other thread and stops it!
