I don't know if Vincent killed Carrie or not, all I know is that I don't believe this young man had a fair trial. This is the first case that I've known about where testimony was all "hearsay". Why in the world would anyone try a case with nothing but hearsay evidence. If Vincent is guilty then he is where he belongs, but if innocent, he doesn't belong in prison for life. If I were a juror on this case I would have never found him guilty on such flimsy evidence. No body, no forensic evidence, nothing. We're talking about a young man's life here people. He at least deserves a new trial. JMO

no body no crime.... all that means is that he hid her body very well. If she is not dead, then where is she?? He killed her, I have no doubt. He beat on her all the time, and then he finally killed her.

I will never believe that Carrie Culberson is even dead until there is proof. There were to many holes in everyones testimonies. If he were retried today with all that has been discovered and brought out, there would be no way he would be convicted. I believe Carrie went into hiding and is still hiding out with a new identity. There was proof that she contacted her mother, which went by the way side during the trial, after she had suppoably disappeared. They all got rich didn't they. What a scam...

LOL

Should be put to death !!!! He shot guy in the face in midland and his father covered that up!!!
If it was not for Blanchester's Police messing everything up nobody would be on Vince's side!!! He is a killer !!!! If you shoot someone in the face then you mean to kill !!!! and If Bobby Montgomery would have died that day Carrie would still be alive because Vince would have been in prison or dead!!!

He was once a close friend that I stayed at his house played in his dad's junk yard!!! But now he is a killer thats fact!!!!

Yeah, things didnt add up so the jury could figure out the true facts of that awful night 13 years ago. I cant believe some of you all dont know that if Vince had given up the spot of her body, his sentence would have been shorter. But he thought he wouldnt be convicted. So what if the Culbersons got a little money due to the Chief being dirty! I am sure they would rather have Carrie than any kind of $.

If Vincent was not guilty then why did he not take the stand to defend himself? Its aload of rubbish when they say he was advised not to by his defense, no person would stop me defending myself if I was accused of something I did not do. He moved his new girlfriend into his place 2 weeks after Carrie disappeared, is this the actions of a caring man who was supposed to love her? He knew she wasnt coming back because he knew she could'nt because he had killed her. You do not lay a finger on someone you love so cut the crap about what a nice man Doan was. He was a bully, what sort of person shoots his friend in the face? & threatens to kill your family if you ever leave him? Let him rot in jail!!!!!!!!!

you are entitled to your opinion but the fact remains He was found guilty, that means 12 jurors weighed all the evedence put before them and came to the conclusion Doan killed Carrie, What kind of Punk assed Man kills his girlfriend ? The kind that sits scared stupid everyday ,crouching in his tiny cell, praying that he doesn't meet the horrible end that he gave Carrie. I bet daddy Doan is paying out the ass to keep him safe. All you yello bellies can spout off untill time stands still , BUT Doan is just where he belongs until he meets his maker and stands judgement.

Obviously you never followed the trial or you would know that the evidence was definitely not flimsy. It's a good thing you were not on the jury or you let a murderer free. I knew Carrie Ann and saw the hell she went through with that monster. He's a woman-beater, a killer, and deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison.

Even those that don't know the story, it definitely wasn't a fair trial. You can't convict someone in jail for life with no evidence.
Vincent is actually a family friend with my mom and dad (dad is deceased now)
I have never met him but just reading about it, it doesn't seem very fair... I hope people consider that fact.

And Carrie also got into drugs and wasn't much better either. they both had flaws in the relationship but I wouldn't say he was a "woman beater"

I did watch and followed the trial. There were a lot of lies and holes in the entire case. He was convicted on the testimony of his sister-in-law. Who was practicing witch craft, drug user, committng adultry and was caught in many of her lies. If he was as bloody as she said that night and knocked on the back door, then why wasn't there any blood on the door or the truck he drove to her house. They found absolutely no evidence to support her trumpted up story that night. Also, it's a fact that she and her sister got caught in their lies as to details of why her sister was there and the next morning leaving for work. Btw, did she recieve the $10,000.00 reward money or did Ms. Culberston receive it? You are a fool to believe lies over the truth. I still believe Carrie will show up some day...ALIVE and WELL.

put down your fists and listen for a minute! Take this information from someone who is close to the culberson family truly. If doane didnt kill her, then who did????? Doane and Carrie were fighting that night. If people on the stand made lies and false accusations then here is what is going to happen. There are people in prison right now that know what happened, and know that if they come forward and talk, THEY GET OUT SOONER. Its all about who is going to pull the trigger, and all the legal system has to do is wait, because somebody is going to come forward soon. This is all going to play out. Of that i can assure you!

To all the doubters, this guy is a killer. What was he in jail for when he met Carrie? I do believe it was attempted murder of his "best friend". He is soft spoken and caring. Come on people, they thought the same about Ted Bundy. Vincent Doan is where he is suppose to be and all the people who tried to help him got what they deserved also. I am sick of these guys trying to play the nice guy. Why don't you hit a man?

The reaction that Doan had on his face and the way he cried when they found him guilty is not the reaction of a killer who knows he is getting justice. A murderer usually has no reaction. If Vincent had been a woman, he'd be free now. Maybe he was a bum with a double personality, but that doesn't mean he killed her. The Culbersons got millions in compensation, but that's also the reason Vincent was found guilty: The townspeople sympathetic to the Culbersons demanded it.
