KY Woman wrote: I will definitely make up my children's letter's and get them ready to be mailed and also this is one Momma, that ARH; doesnt wanna make mad when it comes to my children, Ill close their front doors for them and they'll never treat anyone else there ever again that's for sure.....My children both have a few medical problems and they both have to go to Knoxville Specialists at Children's Hospital so they dont wanna mess my babies insurance up to bad.....not a threat a promise! Why are you so mad at ARH? They didnt do this to you. Any insurance is accepted at arh thru the emergency room. But if you need to be admitted you will have to be transfered to a hospital that accepts your insurance. They are not denying you service. Your kids will see a doctor. This is no different then the private insurances. And come Nov. If you want to still use arh you can, BUT what your insurance does not pay you will be billed for it. Coventry wants you to change. They have stated that this area has the most sick patients in Ky.(Read the articles in the newspaper). They are going broke paying for all the sickness. They have a contract with Arh that they(Coventry) agreed on. But now they dont want to uphold there end so they havent paid Arh. I for one dont want Arh to close there doors due to if it wernt for them being in town I would have to travel to claiborne or Pineville. Do you realize what 15 min in an emergency can do to a person.?? Those that have medicaid are in for a rude awakening. Obamacare is in effect and gonna be worse. If you are use to getting everything free thru your insurance, be aware it is gonna be stopped. You will have to pay something or in someway. Further distance if you want everything free. Coventry wont pay their bill at arh so if arh droppd them and didnt accept it the people with it will go somewhere else thus less nonpayment patients. Less patients but more patients in the hospital that do have insurance that pays, so arh keeps there doors open. Good for ARH. Smart. No more free care so arh employees keep a job.

get over it wrote: SOme people are so ill informed that they think arh is making the decision.NOT SO! Contact the insurance company who will no longer pay your deadbeat bill. as for arh i have used it several times and am glad it is there. hope your sorry self will never have a life threatening accident or heart attack and the doors are closed. really easy to die between here and pineville. YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD..BRAVO!!! ARH is not the blame. Coventry wants to keep there.money. The lawsuit Arh has on them is to get money they already are intitled to. Services that have already been rendered. If these people went to a store and got food and didnt pay for it the store would be seeking legal action too..very well said..

Information wrote: <quoted text> I'm not complaining nor do I go there. I have private insurance and can go anywhere I choose. Just trying to help.......... So you are saying if you had an emergency and I say EMERGENCY you would by pass ARH and go to another hospital 12 to 20 miles away? Or do you live closer to one of the other hospitals? In a true emergency anyone would hit the first ER they could get to.

Ridiculous wrote: Clearly the problem is not Coventry. MARH wouldn't accept KY spirit insurance and now it's not accepting Coventry. They insisted people switch to Coventry a while back, now they are insisting people switch to WellCare. Screw MARH, they suck anyway. clearly this post is for the stupid people. M'boro ARH is not the one not wanting to take the insurance's they have to get a contract with them & ky spirit didn't want one & then coventry deciede they didn't want one either. If you would or could read it's in the news paper and on tv so why would a judge have to order coventry to stay with ARH if it was ARH's fault. If you worked & Most Don't around Here you would know that if you have a commerical ins for instance like blue cross, humana & etc. they pay if your in the network and if your out of network you pay more. as for as ARH suck Yeah! you will be the first to the door & and keep coming back because you don't have any money to pay, because I have been at ARH and see the same people their and they say i'am leaving their stupid here and then I see them back. I use are any i'am glad they help me when I need it, but I also pay to see dr. mohan it cost 60.00 but if your truly sick & not just seeking drugs you would pay too, O if forgot most are one medicaid & don't work. This post is not for the one's that really need medicaid, their are some people that really appreicate having ins and ARH.

I didn't say that ARH was making the decision's to not accept coventry care. If Middlesboro, had a better hospital then a pill headed, band-aid station then maybe they would be able to give their patient's the care they need and bill and pay the insurance companies the right way as well. I know exactly what 15 min's in an emergency situation can do to a person and I also know that most of the time people do not get the care they actually need at MARH neither!

I know exactly what 15 min's in an emergency situation can do to a person and I also know that most of the time people do not get the care they actually need at MARH neither! I recently received emergency care and have knowledge first hand of how well trained the staff of ARH hospital is. I also, am very thankful to God for the staff, Dr. Mapalla and Dr. Ocullum for knowing what was wrong and what to do to save my life. Now, I have had to go back to the ER since and yes, I have seen the patients who come in with terrible pain and then call for a ride so they can receive a pain shot. But I also have heard them mention, "If I don't get a ride I don't get my shot or prescription." Not to mention many have walked fine after leaving and going outside. The doctors and staff only know what a patient tells them. The ER is missused by patients. Is that the hospital fault? No, doctors take an oath to do no harm. Instead of complaining about our local hospital and fellow neighbors we should be thankful we have a local hospital. It could be taken away. If there is changes needed, I belive prayer changes things. This post is not wrote to offend anyone; just sharing my veiw.

I wish they would just close the ARH down altogether. All these doctors care about is running tests that the patient does not need, all for the sake of making money off that patient, so that their own BRATS can have something that other kids cannot even dream of having. These doctors will order CT scans, MRIs and X-rays for most patients that come in the hospital just for a bad cold or a fever. I for one, if this particular hospital does not close, I feel the government should step in and run the hospital themselves. The Middlesboro ARH does not deserve to survive.

VERIFIED IT wrote: ANYONE WHO HAS COVENTRY CARES (MEDICAID) PLEASE GO TO MIDDLESBORO HOSPITAL OR TO YOUR DOCTOR'S OFFICE AND SIGN UP FOR WELLCARE BY MAY 4th!!!! I AM NOT ENTIRELY SURE WHY BUT I WAS TOLD THAT ARH HOSPITALS AND CLINICS WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT COVENTRY AS OF THAT DATE. COVENTRY SENT OUT NO LETTERS ABOUT THIS AND I WOULD HATE TO SEE PEOPLE GET TO THE ER OR THE CLINIC AND HAVE NO MEDICAL COVERAGE. SINCE ARH DOESN'T ACCEPT KENTUCKY SPIRIT AND NOW WON'T ACCEPT COVENTRY, THAT JUST LEAVES WELLCARE. PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THIS SO YOU AND YOUR KIDS WON'T BE WITHOUT HEALTH COVERAGE. THIS WAS VERIFIED BY 2 DOCTORS AND BY A CALL TO THE HOSPITAL. THANKS. It is going to get worse folks. wellcare now sees what problems Coventry was having with ARH so they are going to want to renegotiate their contract too. The problem is the state never held all hospitals and doctors accountable to take all the MCOs so Coventry got stuck with the sickest patients in EKY so they had to cancel. Now poor Wellcare will be in the same shape. Be grateful to have any insurance at this point. The state had to contract with these MCOs because they were broke from being ripped off from hospitals and doctors. Ughhhh
