I personally know everyone involved and i know for a face that the ones who should be punished are those students! They stole her phone and then stole her privacy! Lyndonville is such a horrible place to try to have a PERSONAL life. The students are the ones at fault here the teacher has done nothing wrong but try to have a personal time with her husband! Everyone in this town is so horrible to everyone else lives there, RUMORS RUMORS RUMORS!!!

Shouldn't they be focusing more on the bomb threats? Though having grown up there I should say that a smoking crater may be an improvement.

Wow...I know the people involved and you know what...there is conduct that teacher's must abide by...and she lent that phone to a student who saw the pictures. Even if the photos didn't get forwarded, she still had inappropriate conduct involving a student. DUH! She is an educator and was EXTREMELY careless , which is an unacceptable standard. If one wants their private stuff private...don't bring it in for the students to have access to. Thank God it wasn't my child who found the photos because the TEACHER would be held accountable.

I don't bleed for the "poor children"...I am sick of people not being held accountable for their behavior-especially the "educated and professional There was a reason that photo was on that phone...please figure that out for YOURSELF!!! without seeing the pictures, I have no idea whether I would consider them pornographic, or not. That would be the first determination.

Enough of these double standards. If it were a male teacher whose nude photos were found, everyone would say he's total pervert, has no place being around children etc. But the teacher was female, so that makes her a victim.

The teacher did nothing wrong. Her cell phone is her personal property and there is no rule in the school system that says a teacher cannot have his/her own cell phone in class. In fact, in the event of an emergency, a cell phone can save lives. As for the picture, because it is her own property, it doesn't matter what is on it. She kindly let the student borrow her phone to make a call, and the student got into her private pictures and sent them out. The student should be expelled for trespassing. Remember, the teacher allowed the student to make a call, any use other than that was unauthorized.

From what I'm hearing, the student went into her desk and took out the phone. I know the news reported she lent the phone to him, but we all know how the news sometimes jumps too fast on stories. I'm torn on the subject. I haven't been out of school that long, but there is no way I would have ever gone into a teacher's (or anyone else, for that matter)desk. I guess it was just a respect issue that seems to be missing in the children that are being raised now.

You're just responding to a rumor that she lent the phone to someone. The kids stole the personal phone in the first place. Just let this poor teacher have her life back. This is ridiculous! Those kids could have gotten into a lot of trouble... First a phone, then what?

Here are the facts. The phone was lent to student #1 and this student told a lot of other students about the pictures. Student #2 then transerred the pictures from the teacher's phone to their own personal phone and sent them to Student#3. Student#3 then sent "a" picture to Student#1 and another Student#4. The second and third students have been punished accordingly. Because the teacher is an EMPLOYEE of the school and a MEMBER of a very strong teacher's union, the investigation and the penalties that will more than likely follow cannot be discussed with the public. They are considered a private Personnel matter. That does not mean she will not be punished. The teacher will be held accountable. Everybody involved did something wrong here. They were all guilty of being stupid. The moral of the story, is don't take pictures of things that are of a very personal nature on your phone. If you do, lock the keys on your phone with a real safe password and then don't bring it to school or make it available to someone else. Cell phones are not really very secure. Just because the technology is there, does not mean someone should automatically use it for selfish gain. We all have bigger fish to fry here in Lyndonville, in New York State, in the USA and in the World. It's time to put an end to this rediculous issue. Everyone makes mistakes. Remember the old adage?- only he without sin can caste the stone.

Yes there was a reason the picture was on the phone...she took it doing something that is legal...and I guess you know that too if you have children.... So, only "educated professionals" are being held to a high level of accountability? Hogwash...

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Capricorn

The Moon enters your fourth house of home and family today, urging you to spend more time with your loved ones. There may be trouble brewing at home, so head it off at the pass before tomorrow, when conditions are right for a blowout. Take the time to really listen to what the people you live with are saying. If you live by yourself, you might want to water your plants and talk to them for a while; they miss you.
