I also! I am happy that that waste of space is finally moth balled. Can you believe that there was someone in the community that wanted that kept open for sentimental reasons? How out of touch with reality is that? I hope they bull doze that eye sore down and all the memories with it.

Lyndonville Schools should consolidate with the Barker Schools. They are both small schools that could combine.
The Village of Lyndonville should also consolidate with the Town of Yates. It would be less government and would save money.

The Lyndonville-Barker consolidation was trotted out a few years ago and was shot down. I'm not sure but I think it was Barker that said we don't want to take on Lyndonville and it's issues.

I love the talk of consolidation. Why don't you explain how a consolidation of the village and town would save money. How would you provide the services that are already being provided and save money? Always looking for the easy answer when the hard question needs to be 'how can a municipality cut expenses?' If the politicians could (or if they wanted to) answer that question there wouldn't be any blubbering over 'consolidation.'

You hit it right on the nose. The problem is they spend to much , do to much and don't know how to say no to anything. Can you imagine if the same people running things now were to consolidate? In a few years they would be right back in the same situation. The answer is good people need to step up and get these people out of office. They have failed.

Run for office , see if you can do a better job. Must be a reason you cannot run. Could it be some stuff in your closet.

Is the old elementary school going to be rented out to Mexicans for Educational purposes? For 8 grand a month? Seems kind of like a low ball price to me especially when winter comes. Rumor? Whens the public hearing? Just what we need Beaners year round in our town.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Virgo

You have energy to burn today and it needs positive outlets, otherwise you'll be rather ratty and impatient. You want to work on activities that will show you in a good light, and you'll be annoyed if anyone objects to what you're doing or points out where you're going wrong. If you've been nursing a secret passion for someone, the frustration will really get to you.
