What a shame a few citizens (those with money anyways) feel they have control over something as simple as a bigger and better grocery store. Well, they've won. What will they try to control next?? I have been a Brandon citizen for over 20 years. The Brandon that I once knew and loved is no more. I am a native Vermonter and have seen the entire state being taken over by the wealthy that move here to retire after they have made their fortune in places like MA, NJ, NY, CT, etc. Vermont is turning into a retirement state, however the young people are leaving the state at an alarming rate because there are not many job opportunities and it is too expensive to live here. These "new Vermonter's" make me sick and what makes me even more sick is the few Vermonter's that actually treat these transplants like they are some sort of celebrity. I call those people "wannabes" Are people really that stupid?? I thought I had seen it all until one day I was in town and saw a few of these transplants wearing t-shirts that said "today is Warren Kimble's Birthday" I mean really??? There are actually people that worship an artist?? Warren Kimble could probably tell them to go on a killing rampage and these retards would actually do it!! I for one cannot afford the property taxes any longer as they continue to go up and up and I am looking forward to leaving this cesspool of a town. They are so selfish, they do not care about those that are just trying to make a living to feed their family. I could never be so mean. I'm actually surprised they are so arrogant, they have no idea how others feel about them outside of their own clique.
