The chairwoman is the same one who gave statememt to sunbeam in support of her own Catholic church to move to Mullica Hill. It doesn't make sense that a former councilwoman from Woodstown would support this ridiculous plan. If she and those other st. joseeph parishioners who are involved in planning board and school board should be able to plan church related activities. Once the church and parish closes, many people will be neglected including poor, elderly etc.

Right now corpus christ can't even help their own older parishioners...; Methodist Church in Auburn is taking care of one guy.

$800,000 horse and mansion for nuns in salem county and when the bishop's $400,000 shore home was sold to Mr. Follieri who is in jail for fraud buying and selling catholic real estate...

I have mailed a letter requesting my generaous donation for st joes parish center and received no reply. I no longer am a parishioner. We gave during harship times and we gave with the intention that st joes would remain as stand alone parish like Christ the king in Haddonfield, NJ.(they aren't closing that down and yet it is in walking distance to st rose of lima and other surrounding churches.)

Over 400 people from Pilesgrove, Woodstown signed the petetion while many Catholics who serve on planning boards, have businesses etc refuse to sign. Even Bruce bobbitt and ernie bickford who are not Catholic signed the petition because they had family and friends who helped build the parish of St. Joseph's RC church in Woodstown.
Is St. Joe's going to have a float this year? Or will it be the parish from Mullica Hill which isn't even in Salem County. St. Joseph' inWoodstown has doubled in size and is one of the biggest parishes in Salem County.

AIG and the bail outs are why this world is in trouble....Greed, corruption and excess personal gain when it hurts other people is a sin against God. I think that Woodstown is alot nicer then Mullica Hill. Holy Name parish and the diocese has made poor planning decisions. Their church is fairly new and yet now they want even a bigger church and they want St. Joe's to bail them out.

The Sunbeam remembers a 2006 letter to the editor....along with flyers; and yet I was telling the truth the whole time and no one believed me .....

Once this "bishop" (who has failed to celebrate Holy Sacraments of Confirmation in the diocese and yet he made all of his luncheon meetings to close down parishes...) once this "bishop" makes his decree it will be too late...

and why is the Wilmington Delaware Catholic Diocese going bankrupt??? Delaware which is close to us.

Because these bishops and cardinals are covering up for those who raped and molested innocent children. This is why the US Conference of Catholic Bishops devised this plan to close down our Catholic churches....maybe they should be closing down Catholic high schools instead.

Recently, we heard a rumour that since the ground on rt 77 didn't perk, that they will be building mega church in Woodstown, nJ.

Maybe i was hard on that former council woman from woodstown for not backing up her town. Many Catholics believe in total obedience to priest and that we should never question him no matter what. She believes the propanganda that this was going to be best for the catholic church... there are many people like her too. They don't know the facts or they are in denial.

That is part of the reason why rape victims have remaind silent for many years. Because who is going to believe you. Also, victims are often pictured as coming on to the priest making him do it... Victims are also pictured as money hungry liars.

I heard that legislation introduced by late NUnez making it illegal for convicted sex offenders to be part of juvenile organizations or youth groups..even if they volunteer..

Deceptive Neptune blends with the Moon to create confusion today; be on your toes at work, where misunderstandings are likely to originate.
