Granholm plans 'innovation' center to replace Michigan Library

Lansing -- Gov. Jennifer Granholm wants to launch an innovative education and research center in downtown Lansing at the site of the 20-year-old Michigan Library and Historical Center, she announced today.

With all of her talk about a "knowledge based economy", "blend technology and culture" and "learn about our state's history" why would she eliminate the best source of Michigan's knowledge, culture, and history by destroying the function of the Michigan Library and HAL?
