Accused contractor has court hearing

The man ripped me and many others off and is trying to beat the charges by paying people off and blaming his criminal behavior on other employees and his own drug use!! The state, county and local politicians all have missed the boat in having protection in place against shutter fraud.He started this fraud in business over a decade ago and the State still allowed him to incorporate and the county gave him a business license without a background check!!! All were taken advantage right before hurricane season or when supplies of shutters were diminished due to the past hurricane seasons. Lock him up for ten years or more. I am a disabled veteran and all of us are on limited incomes.

my husband and i were scammed by andrew fernald in 2006. i am still waiting to hear that he was in jail doing much deserved time. if anyone knows the results of his last court appereance please let me know.last comment i read in florida today was that he was really a nice guy and that was from a district attorney!is he for real??????????

to neil d u did not do your homework on your contractor you hired so you deserved what you got people like you need to be burned the man has a drug problem and now you want him to go to prison for 10 years because of your stupidity do you really beleive that 10 years in prison will change this man. no chance in hell all prison is a place to go hang out gamble drink and get high. this man needs long term drug treatment andalong term half way house followed by probation don't cry now you freely handed this man a check without looking into his background so it is your fault u got burned you need to be more careful on who you give your money to blame yourself for being stupid if you do not like what i have to say you can write me back and i will prove to you that you are the blame of not recieving your shutters.

To small change. I am the bondsman that went to NY to apprehend Mr. Fernald. Just to let you know Mr.Fernald does not have a drug problem he just loves drugs. He had been running from the law and myself for two months. During this time he had been living off his mother and girlfriend wating for the right chance to skip the country. A family member of Fernald put his house up for collateral on the bond that he jumped. Fernald did not care that the family member was a single parent with two young children, barley making it. While he was in NY he apparently took advantage of an 81 year old woman. I tracked this guy for two months and probably know more about him than his own mother. This quy is not a druggie he is a sociopath and leaves a bad taste in everyones mouth that he comes in contact with. During my two month investigation I cant say I met one person that had nice things to say about Mr. Fernald.I appologize I met one, his mother who he bilked of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Criminals feed my family and I dont agree with the system all the time but this guy has been doing this type of thing for years and years and never having to face any consiquence for his actions, which there are a long list of them.
Fernald jumped bond at sentencing thinking that he we be able to run forever. My opinion is that he needs to be punished for what he has done and he needs to take his lumps, treatment probation and halfway houses do less that prison. For twenty years Ive been either in law enforcement or the bail bond industry and never seen anyone come off of probation or out of rehab and say "Ill never go back on that again". On the other hand everyone that I have met always states that they wont go back to prison again. Not saying that some dont but a lot of them learn their lesson.

are you people kidding me. this guy is scum i know him since 17 and deserves to be put in jail forever. he does have a drug problem, always did. i know him better then anyone,believe me he has ripped people off since he is 17 and his mothers has helped. and for you bailbondsmen what do you expect his mother to say, sure you love your children but even she has limits, i slo know her since 1975 and believe me she taught him, beware bailsbondmen
