Judged: 5 4 4 Shouldn't BOE members Scott Anderson and Don Miller be thinking again about REVERSING their "planet of opposition" to positioning themselves in support of the new philosophy of the BOE majority? |

Judged: 6 6 6 The change we believe in is here with the newly elected board majority now functioning, and with no conflict of interest, and doing what's right for our school children and community. Personally, I believe that free elections have consequences; and the improvements in the leadership of our board majority IS the change that our union activists are fighting mightily to REVERSE. During the past five failed school levy seasons, and two school board representative election cycles, our community as a whole has voted out the services of the pro levy groups like NFSS; as well as voting out our previous union-first school board elected officials. Common sense taxpayers have full confidence in our new board's leadership and fully support our new board majority and our children first budgeting plan; only the union insiders, with the support of our remaining union school board members Mr. Anderson and Mr. Miller, refuse to accept the "reality of change" as reflected in the November victory of electing Mr. Petroni and Mr. Rigano, as our choice of new school board representatives. During the past five months of school board meetings, our union- first school employees and pro-levy union activists have closed their minds to new ideas of problem solving of school districts financial challenges and the challenge of improvements in our children's educational needs. They grandstand boldly during public meetings, challenging our strong beliefs in our new board majority, who are doing what's right for our school children and community. Their "we need a levy" protests for teachers rights for increased pay and benefits, at the expense of struggling Springboro families and taxpaying homeowners, remain their priority; as they continue their campaign to distract, discredit, and personally attack our board majority, and all community members who disagree with their union-first school budgeting plan (which throws our kids under the bus)! Common sense voters must stand firm on our principles of demanding a balanced budget (with no tax increases) even if it means cutting administrators to meet our children's needs first. |

Judged: 4 2 2 Anderson is thinking about what new position outside the first, city council, second, school board, that he can run for. Oh, that's right, he can run for worst run restaurant in 2012. |

Judged: 6 6 6 He does have experiance in that regard. He ran The Italian Gardens into bankruptcy. Now we have a nice little nudie bar in that location. |

Judged: 7 6 5 Now that our anti-education pro-union board president, Scott Anderson, has no credible service to offer our school children and community members, it is heard that he is practicing his food service skills offering his customers lip service such as: "Would you like fries with that fish order?" |

Judged: 5 5 5 They are paying Petrey more than Lolli?????? And according to the DDN he said, amongst other things, he is "Pro-teacher" and wants to listen to the staff? Ut oh. That isn't children first budgeting! I'm shocked no one on this blog has brought up the fact that Mr. Petrey was around under the "old guard", old way of thinking, all of that. If the BOE majority wasn't the big 3, people on here would be going CRAZY...... |

Judged: 6 6 5 The point of "children first budgeting" is to provide TRANSPARENCY in our school's finances, so that voters can see exactly how much money we have to spend on educational services needed in the classrooms today and for our children's future. And our BOE majority board members realize that Springboro families and taxpaying homeowners will accept only the best teachers in our children's classrooms. When I spoke to Mr. Petrey at the community forum, I went straight to the point asking if he supported our new board's new philosophy of children first budgeting, pointing out that Mr. Lolli did not.(Although I fully support and trust in the leadership of our BOE majority; I think it wise, personally, to VERIFY by going straight to the source). Now, with full confidence that our BOE majority is doing what's right for our school children and community, I am excited to welcome Mr. Petrey! ecision to hire Mr. Petrey I am not shocked at all that the maney-acts are already on this blog "going crazy" spreading more lies. Let's not let these maney-acts distort the truth. We should first see clearly there are no "hidden perks" in the superintendent's salary (as was the "old way of thinking" under the old guard way). TRANSPARENCY in our school finances is the agenda on which our new board members were elected in November 2011! And, according to the DDN, here is full disclosure of Mr. Petrey's pay. from DDN website article: Petrey said he would earn $130,000 per year at Springboro, which is about a $30,000 raise compared to his salary and benefits at Lakota. That also is a higher salary than Lolli’s, who made $105,000 in the position; the contract is for five years as opposed to three. Petrey added that he will not receive retirement pickup, tax-deferred annuities, a car allowance or other incentives sometimes offered to superintendents. “What the public sees is exactly what I am being compensated,” he said. |

Judged: 2 2 2 Lots of talk around town that the Fan Store is one of David Baker's hidden agendas that has yet to come out of the darkness; but not to worry; It's a brighter day in the Boro! It is now coming to light that there is NO record of sales generated by The Fan Store, during the 2009 year of David Baker's reign of hidden agendas, moving money here and there (or perhaps stashing the cash in brown bags?? to be carried away??) |

Judged: 6 6 6 Your post just shows your opinion; but your opinion, based on rumors on this blog, does not change the FACTS about the REAL cost of our schools sports programs (which are currently being reviewed by the budget/finance committee during public school board meetings). The issue being discussed is not "the ladies that run the fan store." The issue is whether or not "running the fan store" produced REVENUE that contributed to the high COST of sports which are paid for by parents and taxpaying homeowners in this school district. Fact is, our "legal" school district treasurer's records shows no dollar amount of sales generated by the fan store during the school year 2009. Question is, if the Fan Store exists only to support itself, generatating NO money contribution to our sports program, should our school district not change the "status quo" way of doing The Fan Store business, so that it does generate revenue to our sports programs?? |
