2012: Horrible Election Year

We almost made it. The United States of America almost fulfilled its promise to be a nation to the people, for the people and by the people. From 1948 to 1996, we saw a trend towards real people (and not those plucked from the exclusive club of Ivy League Brahmins) to lead as President of the United States. Then came 2000. It's only gotten worse since then.

The turpitude of the Obama and Romney presidential match shows us exactly why the Ivory Tower is sullied, decayed and beyond all relevance. Obama is only there because of white guilt manifested in the quotas of Affirmitive Action, and not of his own merit. Romney is only there because he's the spoiled idiot kid of some other spoiled idiot kid (George Romney), scions of a long line of spoiled idiot kids.

This doesn't bode well for us. There hasn't been anyone to accept the nomination of a major party to the office of the presidency since Clinton 16 years ago. It's sad, America's descent into mediocrity and below. Both parties squawk on about freedom, yet we are the furthest from it in my lifetime. We live in an oligrachy like never before. I hope we see real change for 2016, or we're doomed.

Hear hear! Obama, the Affirmative Action candidate vs. Mit Romney, the fancy boy who's never had to work a day in his life. This is a horrible election.
