In 1999 when Congress gave Gingrich the boot, none of them thought he'd rear his ugly head again, much less have the gall to seek the most powerful office in the land. Hunger for power and arrogance is what got Gingrich ejected from Congress, but narcissists do not learn from experience. They are a lot like the salamanders who keep invading my garage. I sweep them out and they keep coming back, even though they know it is dangerous in there. I learned that a salamander, though slimey looking, has a surprisingly tough skin, just like Gingrich. I looked up "newt" in the dictionary, and I was not surprised to learn that it is a type of salamander.
