Reality check

United States

#1 Jan 21, 2012
When I was a kid we spent alot of time wading and playing in the town branch. Occasionally after a high water period there would be this thick white gooey sludge (we called it "lime") and of course as kids we slopped around in it and took many an ass-whoopin for coming home covered in it.
I've been away from the Brick city for a long long time, but in the current days of environmental awareness it just has me wondering.....
What was that shit?, and is it still there sometimes?
