I've said it once and I will say it again. Considering that our Aldermen/Alderwomen are responsible for voting on city business and are a big part of the problem why this city has went downhill, I will never vote for any Alderman who runs for Mayor. Bottom line is our Aldermen/women have failed the citizens of Metropolis and this city. We can send a very clear message to them by not voting for them this next election.

Jerry has ben in ofice for while and as yet to produce anthing that would even justify his re- election as a counilman, that being said Hell no, I would not vote for him for mayor and I would probaly help whoever runs against him to help assure that we do not get stuck with him as a mayor, we got enough problems without having someone with some many years expierence on city matters an yet No expierence in how to deal wth them, again HELL NO!!!!

If you were to take out all of the votes that Rick and Pris cast you would find out that top three would be the bottom thre on the list and then look who is the top three. the fact remains that Rick, Billy, Bob and old Chucky need to go, and so far Jerry is the only one able to do the job. If they did that they would have to lay off 40 employees in the light department. There would not be a light department anymore.

there are only 5 in the electrical dept. 6 in the clerks office. 2 in the attorneys office and two in the Mayors office(including the Mayor). And MAYBE 25 total in the street and water departments combined so if what you are trying too say is that there would no be anyone left working on behalf of the people of Metropolis say that instead for "40 employees in the light department) that just shows everyone you don't know jack crap about what you are talking about and you look like a total fool. Jerry wrote: If you were to let me finish this quote for you, let Jerry stand on his record for what he has accomplished as an alderman over the last 2 terms, then why in the hell would anyone outside of his relatives vote for him? He has done nothing constructive and he side steps every important issue that comes up, no no no should be the only choices on this poll, sorry you can put what ever you want on here but in the end the voters will vote no because he hasnt done one damned thing in his political career to remotely make him qualified as a mayor, sorry the ugly thruth usually always hurts

I was there. Both Rick Abell and Billy McDaniels said this. Just saying. I reviewed the council meeting that was aired online and that is actually what was said.

I think if you review the tape again you will see that is how many people the city would have to lay off in order to do what Jerry and Dave wanted to do, it was an example I reviewed what you reviewed and thats how I took it

Hell No! They need to be voted out of office so we can hopefully get rid of the good ole boys Mayberry club and get some people in office with good forward looking vision for this city.
