Emma ousts Emily as top name for girls

Emily is a very famous name it has like a power to put into new mothers mines .

I have nothing against Emma. Parents want to give their child a popular name that is different, so they check the top ten and pick one from there.
I read somewhere that in biblcal times half the females were named Mary. That's a good name too, but it's not on the top ten list now.

Some experts think that a name can shape the way the world looks at you. Shakespeare questioned the whole concept. I think Mary is OK and Emma too. But who would name their kid Oprah?

You know Shirley was a boy's name until Shirley Temple became a star, but one can never be sure about Pat and Charlie and others.

BTW Prince Harry's real name is Prince Henry. Harry was a nickname for Henry until it became a stand alone name. It has nothing to do with Harold. SNYK.
