Hudson police are already out of control..I have to drive through there everyday ..and I'm telling you I see on average at least 3 cars pulled over in the morning and 3 or 4 at night. Not to mention that they seem to be everywhere..just waiting to pounce.I saw one come barrelling out of a hidden spot , with the pedal to the floor , going as fast as he possibly could , and scaring the #%$^ out of me ..all for a headlight being out. They are supposed to protect and serve ..not harass and intimidate...

I for one agree that the police in town get carried away. One of the problems I see is the ridiculas speed limit throughout town; 30 miles an hour anywhere you go in Hudson is insane. 3A is a main road for crying out loud, lets get with the times. I'm all for preventing drunk driving, but the speed limit is ridiculas. I got a warning one night on Bushhill because I was clocked going 37 down hill, now if the town wants to pay to replace my brakes because I must resort to riding them all the way down Burnshill then I'll attempt to go 30, ridiculas and this is what my tax dollars go for, to put more pistal happy police on the payroll...

A 30 MPH speed limit is not "INSANE", it is a 30 MPH speed limit. That means that MOST people will disobey the 30 MPH limit and do somewhere between 35 - 45 MPH, some will get caught.

What would be INSANE is for the state to increase that limit to let's say 40 MPH because then people would push and do between 45 - 60 MPH.

The 30 MPH speed limit is the average speed limit on MOST roads in the NH in towns that have houses, people, turns etc ... get over it.

If you want to speed, by all means do so. Just know that the Hudson PD is aggressive about traffic enforcement and be prepared to pay the citation.

The Hudson Police Department and it's officers DO THEIR JOB and they DO IT WELL!!!

Just another cash grab! I also travel through there at night. I stopped wearing a baseball cap because I got tired of being pulled over.I was never speeding or had a light out.I was given a different excuse for the stop every time. Just a fundraiser!

Hudson cops suck. That's the reason I decided not to buy a home there. Who wants to put up with harassment from law enforcement. They wonder why people snap and go after the cops, I will not be surprised if that happened in Hudson. Late night you have to avoid Hudson.

And yet they will do nothing about the people who PARK in the right lane waiting in the Drive-up line at Dunkin Donuts on Lowell Road. Or the people that stay in the left lane and then suddenly pull in to get onto exit 2.

The Hudson Selectman better watch their step....we are watching. The HPD are completely out of control. The police liason is first on my list to vote out next time around. I hope other citizens of Hudson join me.

I don't mind the HPD stopping speeders if they are a danger to others. The problem is that the HPD tend to exaggerate charges, harass citizens, and are acting like high school bullies.

Nothing wrong with laws being enforced. 30 mph is 44 feet per second.
Just bumping that to 35 mph and it jumps to 51 feet per second.
Therefore in just 4 seconds a car going 35 goes over 200 feet. Kids, bikes..you just never know.
In 31 years I never ONCE heard a cop mention making money for his city, town or state. I'm not saying those above his paygrade such as lawmakers are not factoring it but the cops themselves could care less.
Please drive safely.

Good for you Officer Bob. You are a hero. As the adage goes "If your not doing anything wrong you have nothing to fear" Let's see how those haters feal about you when you arrive after they (heaven forbid)Crash there car because they were speeding and could not react to an unexpected obstical in the road. Will they still think you were a bad guy? I hope they never find out.

Wow, you cant drive down Bush Hill road at 30 without burning up your brakes?
Well, here is a hint. Take your foot off the gas sooner.
And what kind of lame whiny crap is "if they buy my brakes I will drive the limit"? What the hell is wrong with you? I bet you didnt have the balls to say that when you went for your license. I bet you DONT have the balls to say that to a cop the next time you get pulled over.
The taxpayers are not responsible for your crappy driving abilities.
Grow up or stay home.
