I am a single mother of two children, currently attending school full-time and will be graduating this coming May. I recently left an abusive relationship and moved my children into a tiny, one bedroom apartment as a temporary solution. In February my school money will be coming through and I will be able to move my kids to a bigger place and afford my cost of living. Meanwhile my ex has decided to withhold half of my children and I’s belongings from us and cleared out our checking account leaving me with only enough money to get buy paycheck to paycheck. I usually wouldn’t need to ask for help but this was a must leave situation and the outcome has financially burdened my children and I for the time being. Next semester is my last semester in school so to me continuing my education is the most important thing I can do for my children’s future. Between rent, heating the place, having to go to the laundry mat, gas money to take the kids to and from school every day, household supplies, phone bill and all the other daily living cost I just can’t seem to keep up with my part-time job. To make a long story short I am in need of any help. I have no money for Christmas. Unless a miracle happens I honestly won’t be able to afford to buy my children anything for Christmas this year.
-I could really use a set of bunk beds; my children now share a tiny bedroom and the set up with two twin beds leaves them little to no room for play.
-My kids and I would really like a Christmas tree and tree stand (I never thought I would be at a point in my life when I couldn’t afford a Christmas tree) we went and looked at trees one day but honestly I really can’t afford to spend $30.00 on a tree besides that my apartment is very small so if we had a tree it would have to be a small tree.
-My 6 year old son is in need of size 2 snow boots & size 6 snow pants. He is into transformers.
-My ten year daughter would be happy with just about anything girly.
-I could really use a pair of snow boots myself size 8.
-Household supplies (toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, laundry soap, etc.)
-My children both understand that this is a temporary situation and seem to be dealing with it well but I really don’t think I will be able to live with myself having nothing under the tree for them on Christmas morning.
I would appreciate any help. I would be willing to exchange work for help. I am a county certified childcare provider (just can’t watch kids in my apartment at the time due to the cramped living environment), I can cook, clean, type, run errands, shovel snow, paint, clean apartments, etc.
If anyone would be able to loan me money for Christmas I would be able to repay the money the first week of February when my school money comes through.
If you have any ideas at all or know of any community resources that I might be overlooking please let me know.
Thanks for your time-My email address is luvmykids81@hotmail.com

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Leo

A loved one is being rather tetchy today. It won't take much to get on their nerves, even if you think they're being grossly unfair about it. Try not to make the situation worse by being sarcastic or provocative. Instead, encourage them to tell you what's wrong but without raising their voice. Once you know what you've done to irritate them you can start to put it right.
