While it's hard to sympathize with an adult who actually goes to meet with a minor with the intention of having sex, I think we must be concerned with making it into a witch hunt. Should we go to next level and charge adults who are engaging in cybersex chat? Is the media making us all hysterical about this? Perhaps we should proceed with caution here, and parents definitely need to be aware of what their children are doing on the internet.

A few months have elapsed and I can't seem to find any update on the fate of the men that were arrested. Does anyone know the outcome, especially for those that had a not-guilty plea?

Most have pled guilty but some have been indicted and are awaiting trial.

I am willing do work for a small fee from the victims or any caring members of society who will anty up. to kidnap and torture these perverted freaks who destroy innocent lives. why is it that the police want to beat up someone for a speeding ticket but dont have the balls to night stick these pervs? You'd think the county would have more productive ways to use their resources then by sexually enticing people on the internet in order to promote the appearance of public protection. While what these people did was wrong, this whole thing is largely a political maneuver by the district attorney who seeks re-election. While I do not advocate what these people did in the slightest, many of you would perhaps feel differently if it was somebody close to you who got caught. As a future defense attorney, I think these people may have an entrapment defense, but I don't know all the details behind what actually happened.
