defamation

AT THE RISK OF BEING MISUNDERSTOOD (YET AGAIN), I will try to explain my reasonings to people who likely WILL NOT read this, but likely WILL post evil and venomous comments about me regardless.

1st-If stating your opinion is defamation, I guess we are all a bit guilty.

2nd-I have apologized to a certain person who seems to be stalking me here more than once already. For any hurt feelings, crying, lost sleep, any physical and/or mental anguish, etc. that I may have caused him and/or his family. He has not accepted, therefore, I will not offer it again.

Besides that, I have explained that I find other people's opinion of me as useless as they find my opinion of them. I actually wish that person would stop stalking me here and just float away. I did not invite him or anyone else into the conversation about the police report.

3rd-I have also explained here that my initial thought of the writeup I posted:

I THOUGHT the boy had a "RELATIONSHIP" with a younger "GIRLFRIEND". If I had known the depth of the injustice, I NEVER would have posted.

I also AGREED with the person who said that topic needs to be left alone. If we stop posting there, it will drop off the screen and be forgotten by people with short attention spans.

For some reason, however, people who DON'T read or CAN'T understand keep forcing me to repeat myself, in my own defense, which in turn brings the topic back to the forefront on everyone's mind.

And, FYI, Louisiana jurisprudence has continuously upheld:

...An action in defamation does not lie from a statement of opinion based on the speaker or writer's subjective view...

Seriously, if you have truely read what I actually wrote here, let me know if I am being misunderstood, or just being targeted by spiteful people with nothing better to do.

If you would have gotten all of the facts from your "super resources", you wouldn't have been on here making yourself look like....?????.well....?????.YO URSELF. The "smallest" word with the "biggest" meaning in your statement was...."IF".

FREEDOM of SPEECH does not mean you can base your
"opinion- verbalization or written" until you have investigated the facts you know are based on the truth.
However, in this day and age, people do voice their opinions on "HEARSAY" which just for the sake of "getting even" with another person or just plain old gossiping and the information is untrue can cause a tremendous amount of problems for the person using the "FREEDOM of SPEECH" act.
Apparently, you are not aware of those people who have gone to court for defaming a person and have been sued when proof of statement is untrue.
I would venture to say Just Me, you have not been investigated and you do not know all of the trouble you COULD have placed yourself in.
My experience as an investigator has caused people to be sued, loose their jobs and hurt their families.
So my suggestion wether you take it or not, is to be absolutely sure before you SAY ANTHING that it is TRUE, before it defams a person.
I really don't think you want to go through all of court and suing issues.
This is just me, and this is just a word of advice.

Good point "genius"! JM gets on here and states how everyone who does something wrong should be punished, but when it is his/her turn, just wants to apologize and forget it.
