Have to agree with you there....The guy didn't even try to fight Minto. I found it sad.

Anyone who doesn't think it was rigged, go back and watch it again. I have it on tape and it's blatantly obvious that it wasn't a legitimate contest:
1. After the first knockdown, John Poore lowered himself down onto the canvas.
2. Before the second knockdown, John Poore was the recipient of a barrage of punches in which the referee clearly should have intervened.
3. After the second knockdown, despite receiving all of those punches, John Poore literally JUMPED to his feet.
There's no doubt in my mind that the match was staged and it was staged with the sole intent of bringing a much-needed boost to Butler's social and financial statuses...and it worked like a charm
