It seems that our new president is being given a number of pointers by a variety of people.
The one thing I think he must come to realize and realize quick if he is to be successful and that the American Public does not see politicians as politicians see themselves . The public also does not see public figures as being above the law:
http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2009/feb/08/barn...
Also the public feels that a public figure should pay their income tax, especially since that public figure while in office frequently pushed for tax increases;
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi...

He also maybe should understand that The Speaker of the House Of Representatives Nancy Pelosi is not as popular outside San Francisco and she is among her rich friends in that city:
http://www.topix.net/forum/atlanta/TB6PGF2BMQ...

He will undoubtedly over come this limited insight int the attitudes of the American Public. However it appears his learning curve is steep.

I was glad to see the news. I went out to get the paper this morning and it was on the porch roof. It's still up there. Bentonville, Fayettville ,Eureka Springs Arkansas are feeling the crunch. These are major tourist areas for Missouri Iowa Texas oklahoma and beyond. If these towns lose tourist, they will darn near shut down. With this plan Mr. Fix It has, people are running scared. No one is going anywhere. I noticed stocks tank, but only go up very little. Did you notice the price of gold? Silver is at an all time high too. Everyone is pretty freaked.

That's right. Today the Obama aides want to impose pay caps on every employee at instiutions taking the bailout. But then tells them to go out and spend. These very institutions wanted to buy full page ads, but caneled due to public outrage.

He has had another cabinet member bow out. I wonder what he seen that made him want to turn and run from this adminstration?

Yes the Dow has tanked and that is because smart investors know this stimulus bill is just pork and does not address the economic problems. I don`t expect to see it do much of anything.

He made his pitch in Peoria, Ill. at teh Caterpillar plant. He tells the employees that his stimulus program is going to help save their jobs. The CEO of the plant said right after his speech that it would be at least two more years before they rehired any workers and hired more. Somebody was wrong.Who. He talked about expanding the economy and building more building when his team in the House are all for cutting development.
