Well, now that we know Pennsylvania doesn't have as many racists as we believed pre-election, that narrows down the suspects.

I suspect Smedley or lakerman. And, then again, it could have been Themis or RiderKatS.

It's pretty useless to write an article about "ethnic intimidation" without naming the ethnicity of the victim.

Better yet, the guy did it himself for the insurance money. I.e., if you can't pay your bills, paint a "B" and burn your car and call yourself a victim by blaming it on someone else.
Then collect your money from Erie Insurance.
Or does that only apply to Mike Joyce?
For the record, this is an elderly black couple who are the kindest people you could ever meet. Greenville does not have many african americans, and this is no doubt a statement. The idea of them doing this is ridiculous. If you knew them (we do), you would never say this. And no, they don't have Erie Insurance.

Feel bad for them..people need to stop this type of thing. There is nothing to gain by doing this. I guess thugs will be thugs no matter where you go.

It's sad that some of you seem to think this incident is funny.

I hope the community rallies for these folks and that the perpetrators are caught and punished severely.

Thing is, the police and community are keeping it pretty quiet. Don't think they want to stir things up.

I believe that it is too early to reach any conclusions. Over the past year or two, we have seen a number of cases that at first were labeled hate crimes, and when the cases were investigaged, the 'crime' turned out to be a self-inflicted stunt to gain attention.
I do not know if that is the case here, but from what has been reported so far, there are things that do not ring true. Why paint the name obama on the vehicle you are torching? That in itself makes no sense.
So let's remain calm and see what the police find out.

It makes sense to me. I remember a high school bonfire rally for a big game against Prep. A Dodge Rambler was set ablaze to start the bonfire.

At a time when we have an opportunity to move towards a better understanding each other it is such a pathetic waste to be a hater by continuing the fear that has been such a sad part of American discourse. Those who think this awful incident is funny or some kind of silly scam need to look in the mirror. Your reflection is very ugly.

Well , it's stupid to ruin someones property regardless of race. Hope the people who lost their car can afford a new or used one. They better do it now with the dems that just got elected they wont have any money left after paying all the new taxes they will come up with.

Dodge never made a "Rambler" - I would suggest you gets your facts straight before hitting the keys, but then again, you never do base your twattling flotsam on fact anyway

Oh, My! Themis has his panties all bunched up today. FYI, hotrod, I could care less who the maker of the Rambler was. And I hesitated before adding the "Dodge" but it sounded correct (apparently it wasn't....and who the he!l cares, anyway?) so I left it in. All I know for sure is that my high school torched a RAMBLER for a pre-game rally against Prep. You were probably there.*wink*

Btw...I would suggest you

TWTL is somewhat correct:

"When declining sales and the competitiveness of the United States auto market forced AMC to seek a partner in the late 1970s, the company formed an alliance with France's Renault. This lasted until March 2, 1987, when the Chrysler Corporation purchased AMC."

RIP Rambler.
