Well, now that we know Pennsylvania doesn't have as many racists as we believed pre-election, that narrows down the suspects.

I suspect Smedley or lakerman. And, then again, it could have been Themis or RiderKatS.

It's pretty useless to write an article about "ethnic intimidation" without naming the ethnicity of the victim.

For the record, this is an elderly black couple who are the kindest people you could ever meet. Greenville does not have many african americans, and this is no doubt a statement. The idea of them doing this is ridiculous. If you knew them (we do), you would never say this. And no, they don't have Erie Insurance.

Feel bad for them..people need to stop this type of thing. There is nothing to gain by doing this. I guess thugs will be thugs no matter where you go.

It's sad that some of you seem to think this incident is funny.

I hope the community rallies for these folks and that the perpetrators are caught and punished severely.

Thing is, the police and community are keeping it pretty quiet. Don't think they want to stir things up.

I believe that it is too early to reach any conclusions. Over the past year or two, we have seen a number of cases that at first were labeled hate crimes, and when the cases were investigaged, the 'crime' turned out to be a self-inflicted stunt to gain attention.
I do not know if that is the case here, but from what has been reported so far, there are things that do not ring true. Why paint the name obama on the vehicle you are torching? That in itself makes no sense.
So let's remain calm and see what the police find out.

It makes sense to me. I remember a high school bonfire rally for a big game against Prep. A Dodge Rambler was set ablaze to start the bonfire.

And I hesitated before adding the "Dodge" but it sounded correct (apparently it wasn't....and who the he!l cares, anyway?) so I left it in.
