Riot at Hayes State Prison?

The Summerville News, via Twitter, is reporting that a riot is taking place at the Prison. Anyone know anything about this?

According to The Summerville News, Hays is doing an emergency head count and SN is on the way to Hays. This has brewing for a long time....

Riot in D Bldg. Unknown if anyone was hurt?

I figured it was D building. Everyone has been expecting a riot in this building and several other areas also. This is the only the beginning.....

That prison for the most part has been a blessing to the community but since last fall its been a headache. I live in the Pennville district Since last November that place has grew louder and louder and it sounds outta control. I wont even allow my grandkids out in the yard alone. Somthings need to change there and in a hurry.

Under control, shipping the inmates who were involved.

Im amazed at some of these posters "Everyone has been expecting it" "more to come" sounds like your calling the shots down there, Or do you even work their Im retired Navy and have alot of friends their and dont want to see anybody hurt but sounds like you may have firsthand knowledge about this situation. Did you report it? Did you
call Atlanta or did you do nothing, That place is a septic tank and im glad to be 400 miles away.

Yes, I do work there and have for many years. If you have so many "friends" that work there, ask them. They will tell you that everyone has been expecting riots, among other things to happen. And, other things have already happened. Just ask us, if you know any of us!!!!! Oh yes, no I did not report it to Atlanta this time, I'm off today. So one of your "friends" took over my place and made the call.... That's how it works.

Many years huh what 2 maybe 3 did you report it last week this week maybe just maybe this could have been avoided.

Maybe if people would take time to report these things their feelings then these things could be prevented, In the Navy on a sub we all worked toghter as a team and reported our hunches and our thoughts to O.I.C.S. If we all do our jobs everybody goes home.

No, try 10 years! Things are documented, reported,addressed, etc. etc. as they are discovered. If you were so "smart" on the correctional system, you would know that things happen all the time. Some are avoided by knowing the inmates involved and when they are planning to do whatever they are planning to do. Talk to some of your "friends" at Hays and ask them what happened to our Captain, a LT.,Deputy Warden of Security and a Unit Manager a few weeks ago. And the Warden was with these Superiors when it happened!!! So, why did Mr. Brown not know about the incident about to happen and prevent it? You are so "MILITARY" maybe you should apply for one of the positions and make Hays a daycare center? Evidently, you are not aware of the inmates that we have at Hays. Try Max to Super Max and getting more serious daily.

I feel safer knowing your at home today and not at work. Thank God for off days, by the way 10 years is along time to stay and not be some kinda superviser maybe you should inlist in this mans army, dont think you could cut it as a seaman.Sorry.

You would be really suprised if you only knew my position!I had an off day today, but guess who they called on her off-day? Little o' ME. Not so shabby for a lady that has ONLY 10 years of service with the DOC!!! Maybe you should go back to sea. We all know why you are no longer in the Navy and sitting at home. You need to be a security guard at the mall aka "MALL COP". You just might qualify for this "dangerous" position. Cause, sorry Buddy, you would never make it at a prison such as HSP.... If the mall won't have you, maybe Wal Mart will. They hire alot of disabled Americans!!!!!

No mam i dont need to work at a place such as that, my wife a heart surgeon at Memphis medical center and I recieve a retirement pension thats very handsome due to my retirement as a Lieutenant or a Cell Commander go goole search that rank and youll see im not the least bit worried about your little prison just my brothers whom ive known for many many years.

And you haysgirl would never ever be even thought of on any of our teams. Face it when the chips are down you would freeze and couldnt pull the string. Mam I didnt mean for this to turn into a verbal judo altercation, im sorry if I offended you in anyway But lets face it any of your coworkers would rather a retired SEAL team commander storm a building that you. Trust me. I would do well at your institution.
