Kudos to whomever planned the City of Summerville's fireworks displlay. It was great. I'm sure some naysayer will find some problem with it, but I think it was great. Maybe we can keep politics out of this and just enjoy the Fourth of July and what it stands for!! Freedom and justice for all!

I agrre. The show was spectacular!! My Grandson enjoyed it to the fullest and so did we. Thanks to the City of Summerville and anyone else who helped plan this wonderful show.

our family loved it, it was by far better than the one they put on at the lake. the only thing that got me was some old rich lookin lady sittin in a hatchback escalade suv saying "well thare goes all our tax dollars up in smoke". that burnt my tail up.

You know how some people are. She, along with others who felt that way, should have kept their butts at home. There are always someone trying to ruin good things. I had much rather for the children,teenagers,etc.etc. be there than off drinking and doing drugs etc. etc. The fireworks show is clean and wholesome entertainment for all ages. Hope it continues....

I want to thank everyone involved in the Fourth of July events, It was wounderful and I loved every minute of it and so did my family and friends. The City of Summerville is doing alot of great family oriented activities during the holidays lately and we need to let them know we appreciate it.
I have never bloged before now in my life.

May he rest in peace.

Maybe eventually we'll get a sports & entertainment complex named after him, with maybe a theater or drive-in movie, bowling alley, batting/pitching cages, YMCA, summer day camps, etc. He would be pleased.

Whoever the rich lady is needs to check her tax bill. No tax money went up in smoke for that spectacular fireworks show. Thanks to the late Grady McCalmon, the citizens of the City of Summerville do not pay property tax. So thank you Grady for taking such good care of the citizens of Summerville and providing a wonderful 4th of July celebration. Hope you enjoyed it from heaven.

How could anyone rich or poor complain (about tax dollars)and not enjoy the beautiful fireworks. As for me and my family, we are just grateful to be free and enjoyed our cook-out and enjoy the fireworks and it didn't cost us a dime.
