The measure calls for Physicians for Healthy Hospitals, which consists of more than 130 local doctors, to buy the system at more than fair market value.

Why are cops interested in this?
A doctor owned hospital will only jack up fee's for their fancy homes and expensive cars.
Dr. Chaudri will only sink this hospital like he did the rancho springs hospital and bring in foreign phillipino nurses with no experience and lack of english to work there. He is a joke. I wouldn't let him work on my dead dog.

Wait till they make it "Private for Profit"...if you do not have the right insurance...you will not be seen. Its so sad for the community its a loose loose no matter how you see it. The Doctors will get richer billing Insurance for procedures and other things and the poor can take a number at county...because that is where they will end up. Not sure why the cops care...maybe they have the "right" insurance?

This hospital is a dump anyway. I'd rather go to the county hospital in Moreno Valley. At least they have top quality equipment and qualified staff.

Law enforcement is not the only entity that cares about the delivery of medical care in Hemet - the entire community cares - or at least it should.
Jobs and health care !!!!!!
“Local doctors mean local healthcare, pride of ownership, and keeps our doctors living and practicing in the Hemet Valley.”
The real problem is that a handful of greedy doctors have turned it into a turf war at the expense of taxpayers, residents, and patient care.
Chaudhuri has never been the culprit - Prem Reddy is - Google him.

This is not an issue that law enforcement should care about. "Local doctors mean local healthcare, pride of ownership, and keeps doctors living and practicing in the Hemet Valley." This is not a justification for local police to support corrupt doctors. Local politicians have made this valley a magnet for welfare and Los Angeles gang members. Where is the pride of these "local residents?" Vote NO and close the hospital. Let a professional hospital corporation such as Keiser buy it and rebuild it. The local second class physicians are not the answer.

This is copied from the Physicians for Healthy Hospitals...give me a break. The police should stick to cleaning up the town...not kissing the butt of local doctors. The Doctors should take care of the patients...let corporations who run hospitals run ours! If the doctors spent as much time caring for patients as they do politics, heck the valley would be healthy! How about Dr Denes..in the one ad he has the scrub top on...with a womans name? Bad picture? Doesnt he do cosmetic procedures? Stick to medicine Doctors and let business men run the hospital!

Law enforcement has endorsed a political campaign. Political endorsements are a powerful and persuasive tool in influencing voters. I do agree that there are corrupt doctors in this town. But, there are many decent ones, as well. I also agree that Riverside County has turned Hemet into Hell. It's a shame. Closing the hospital is not the answer. It is the largest employer in the valley. The job loss would be devastating. Kaiser already has a hospital slated for the area. The PfHH doctor group is collaborating with a professional hospital corporation called Catholic Healthcare West's St. Bernardine. It is a national entity and will provide administrative services.

Correct. It is a direct quotation, acknowledged by the quotation marks at each end of the sentence " there and there"
You're right. The police have a full plate here and the force has been cut due to budget constraints. There is an excellent healthcare provider working in collaboration with the PfHH doctors - Catholic Healthcare West's St. Bernardine is a national entity collaborating with the local physicians. Research shows that doctor run hospitals are successful. It gets them into the loop and helps cut costs. Doctors actually make good business men - they can walk and chew gum at the same time. Dr. Denes is doing cosmetic procedures. I'll let you know if he's any good after he does my breast implants next month. Wish me luck.

There was a quote back in the Press Enterprise where by the Catholic Healthcare West had no idea they were involved with Hemet. From my understanding, they will only help develop programs for the Hospital, not have any dealing with the daily running of the Hospital. Perhaps someone from CHW can address this.

Occasionally, the PE gets "ahead" of the news. Shrewd reporters! Catholic Healthcare West has partnered with Hemet cardiologists for many decades. Some local heart doctors routinely transfer their patient's there to preform specific cardiac procedures (stents, angios, etc) at CHW St. Bernardine's Medical Center in San Bernardino.
*Voter pamphlet argument in favor of measure P:
"the agreement with PfHH also provides for expanded and enhanced specialty services through an association agreement with Catholic Healthcare West St. Bernardine Medical Center that will offer state-of-the-art cardiology services and other leading-edge clinical programs to our residents." The association between these two entities has existed successfully, for many years. Sharing "clinical initiatives, health-related information systems and hospital administrative resources" is a positive step in the right direction for hospitals.
*CHW will not be addressing this, yet. Pending voter approval the specifics with be hammered out in contract negotiations and disseminated to the public.

In a nutshell, this measure will approve the sell of a public hospital to line the pockets of some closed group of doctors that were involved in the rejecting the sell of the same hospital to other companies. Self serving? YES. Good idea? NO.

Hemet Hospital is a pile of crap. Twenty five years in the valley and I've been there maybe five times for treatment and always vow to never step foot in that chop shop again. The personel are rude, the care and facilities are third world. I've served in the Marine Corps and have traveled all over the world and I can honestly say that Hemet Hospital is by far the worst medical facility I've seen.
Tell me how can everyone know the running joke that's it's a place to go to die.
I know first hand, my father in-law died right there in the waiting room floor and all the staff did was give him a blanket to keep him warm as he passed.

Sell the piece of shit to a private investor. Nobody wants to loose money.
This was an issue last year and supposedly it has been improved, MY ASS.
You got your chance with the last vote and nothing happened. I have no friends that use hemet hospital. They all travel to Temecula or Morreno Valley. Go figure. Visit the emergency waiting room and see the quality of people using this hospital and you'll see why the place is going under.

As for our police endorsing it, they need to look and improve their own department before they get sourced out too. They got enough to worry about.

Hey Rob Dog who cares who buys it? That is the great thing about this Nation. If you do not like Hemet Hospital you have every right not to go there. But why not let the doctors who work there and will take pride in ownership? They will keep their practices in town. The deal is very clear and doctors can only buy in by certain percentages. You can still drive to another hospital. The cops just want a hospital to be in Hemet. They also want good schools and shopping areas, business centers, and decent housing. Can you imagine if every assault or traffic collision they investigated they have to drive out of town to a hospital that is 30 mins away to contact or follow-up with the victims? Thats a lot of wasted time out of service. So Rob Dog I get you don't like the Hosp. but being a marine you should understand the need for a strong community. Happy Vets Day!

*Hemet and Menifee have never been major trauma centers. Tom Broderick put the cart before the horse in the 80's when the hospitals were called "Medical Centers" - a misnomer. All major trauma, brain injuries, TCs, head and neck, etc. have always been shipped out side to Regional or other major medical centers.

Ben, I totally agree. I don't care who buys it. I don't care who runs it. All I care is that it's improved and not continued to be run into the ground as it is with it's present course.

I care about Hemet. I've lived here for 25+ years. I truly do care, and it's hard to see that the elected officials that can make a change continue to follow the same road that the crooked ones before them followed once their in the drivers seat.

Right on Rob, but since you have been here 25 years you know that Hemet PD does do a great job with the tools and staffing the politicians give them. I know many of the officers and most live, shop and have fun here in the valley. They care too.

I can assure you it is not copied from anyone. I wrote it, and it's a very true statement. 1615
