I spoke with some of the SEIU people and they didn't even know that the union had voted 'yes'. Must be a good union!!! Sick I'd say. They are just scared of losing their jobs. Go for "no" and save our hospital without the cronies.
Aren't you afraid that VHS is almost bankrupt and you could loss your job because they can't pay the bills

I saw that CNA nurses support g. I guess you didn't get the memo. If unions are silly why are you a member of one? Unions blow anyway. YOU guys drive prices up with your wages while lowering productivity. Totally inefficient.
Frank,
The CNA at Hemet DOES NOT support G. Perhaps you missed the RN's holding the signs out on the street. I also do not believe in unions, however they are a condition of our employment. NO ON G

I guess Menifee and Mo Valley CNA nurses support g. That's 66%, a majority so when it comes down to it in theory, as a union, CNA supports the sale of VHS. As for the RN's I hope those wind bags arn't the same ones that work at Hemet Valley. At lunch I always drive by and about 10-12 elderly ladies are holding NO signs. IF these are the RN's your talking about then just let me die. Most of them should be picking up their Social Security checks or even working at walmart greeting new customers.

Frank,
Hope you never need the help of the RN's. That is really an awful thing to say about our Community members.

I know for a fact the HCMG employees were told go stand and hold a yes sign, they had no choice. That is wrong and against the First Amendment. I cant believe that they had to pay sign holders, how sad. They have no idea what has led to this. How long have you been employeed by VHS? Must not be too long for you to not know what we have been thru. Why would the long term employees, who have had pensions taken from them because of Dr Chaudhuri want you to Vote NO? Did you watch patients die when he bankrupted KPC and Medpartners, I DID! You are very misinformed. I have canvassed our community, church and stores , schools and have only met one yes person, you. Everyone is so sick of the mismanagement they all say no. Why would the yes people have to come to our corner, do they not have a better one to stand on? I belong to a Union, and believe me, they do not speak for me. They can stand and yell all they want, however, they get my dues but not my vote. SEIU said they would help the hospital, all they have done is taken dues, ask the unhappy workers. Were you out there today? Why would all the ER nurses, the ICU nurses say no? There is a reason....once you give away our hospital you can never get it back again. Why give it away??? We need to save our community hospital.
VOTE NO!!!!!!!!!!
I've been at VHS for ELEVEN years, lONG ENOUGH TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON... I'm voting yes and other employess in my dept who have been at VHS much longer than myself are voting YES.

It's an awful thing for me to say that about them but it's ok for you guys to blast Dr Nakka, Dr. Rastogi, Dr. Chen and all the other DR's in the local media. Don't you think this is a double standard?

I am amazed that the issue seems to be the tearing down of signs and which nurses seem attractive or not. This is about a community hospital, in which the people have not had a true voice, and now it is about asking if the people want a voice about what happens to the hospital. I believe in not for profit care. I believe in the better nature of people to do the right thing. I believe if the measure fails, and Chaudri remains off the board the people will pass a bond measure. Further more those old RN's have a lot of Knowledge, most nurses want to provide the best of care, it is a difficult task.

You must be some kind of a nut. Those older ladies out there were members of the community -including me - who were volunteering for a cause. Maybe you should work at Walmart. Sounds like that's your mentality.

Mr. Frank, You seem to be the one that need to get the job at Wal-Mart so you can get the discount on your glasses. Are you that blind? Do you not see what is happening here. How dare you put down our nurses? The "elderly" nurses are the hospitals back-bone. Who do you think are training all of the new nurses?!? As far as putting the doctors on blast, I have personally been harassed while working on my floor, taking care of my patients. For 45 min. I had a "yes" doctor sit there and lecture me on why I should vote yes. I was in the patient care area and then he started disrespecting other Doctors that he works with, this all took place at my nurses station in front of my co-workers and my patients! Do don't talk about double standards when you have this going on and lets not talk about the fact that employees can walk around with "vote yes" badges but if an employee has a "Vote No" they are told to remove it right away. There is your double standard!!

Yeah? A quote from the memo given the employees at Hemet hospital today.

“Among decisions that will need to be made are those which involve attempting to reorganize and restructure by eliminating unprofitable services whose costs are high and for which reimbursement does not cover the hospitals costs or allow the hospitals and VHS to break even or make a margin.

Eliminating services will also mean laying off employees who perform those services. For those employees affected, every effort will be made to place employees in other positions within the hospitals. Outplacement programs and job counseling will be made available when those reductions occur.”

“If the restructuring strategies are not successful, the hospitals will be forced into chapter 9 bankruptcy. And if reorganization under bankruptcy is not successful, and another buyer is not found the hospitals is not found, the hospital would, ultimately have to close.”

Well if it goes to bankruptcy, then if Charaduri was behind Select, he will not even need that “cover” to buy out the hospitals…

BTW, the current rumor is 75% layoffs…

Perhaps that will happen, but I did not recieve a memo at work today. Why not put out another bond measure now?

I'm sure they will try but I heard at best it takes 3 to 4 months for that. Also it is very expensive and last I heard VHS is in the red millions. To pass these typs of Bonds they need a super majority. Will never happen because to many elderly are on fixed incomes. They actually vote in large numbers unlike the younger generations who don't.

I believe most people would go for a bond now that they know Dr Chaudhuri is out of the management of the hosp.
