THE AMERICAN COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION AWARDS ARE HERE AGAIN TO APPLAUD THOSE WHO MAKE COUNTRY MUSIC SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR EVERYONE ...

OF COURSE ALL KEITH URBAN FANS WILL BE SUPPORTING HIM ALTHOUGH KEITH HIMSELF HAS NEVER BEEN IN THE COUNTRY MUSIC INDUSTRY FOR THE SOUL PURPOSE OF RECEIVING AWARDS ...

HIS TALENT AND MUSIC ABILITY IS LOVED AND RESPECTED AROUND THE WORLD ... EVEN IN COUNTRIES WHERE ENGLISH IS A SECOND LANGUAGE BUT KEITH'S LOVE SONGS SPEAK A THOUSAND WORDS ...

EVERYONE ON THE KEITH URBAN NEWS FORUM SHOULD BE SINGING KEITH'S SONGS LIKE THEY EVER COULD AND SPREADING THE GOOD WORD ABOUT KEITH'S SINGLE,
"ONCE IN A LIFETIME" LIKE THEY NEVER WOULD ...

REGARDS ALWAYS ... COLLEEN
PS: KEITH URBAN'S MAKING EVERYONE IN AUSTRALIA PROUD

The thing that sets Keith Urban apart from all the new country entainers is He doesn't limit his music or performing to the USA. He has performed in Canada many times, all over Europe and of couse his beloved Oz. The world is his stage and his fans are global. and he knows that . thats what makes him the musician, performer & entertainer he is ,

True, true, true Layla ...

And your are obviously a "true blue" KU fan ...

Cheers from Oz mate ... Colleen

PS: Canada would have to be one of Keith's favourite places to perform and his return to Sarnia's Bay Fest proves that ... I'm from Sarina in Keith's home state of Queensland and we can't wait for him to come back home ...

While the 3 guys listed above are all highly deserving (they're awesome), Shame, Shame, Shame on the CMA's and especially some certain individuals in the industry for snubbing the Dixie Chicks again. They are so incredibly talented and don't deserve the treatment they've received. All the power to the Dixie Chicks for coming back with a vengence and standing tall and proud for what they believe in. We all have the right to do so, but most would lack the courage to hold true to their beliefs under the tremendous pressure they've had to endure. I'll be seeing them this Saturday in Toronto (for the 2nd time) and can hardly wait ..... they are #1 in country music for me.

Hi Leslee,

They were well received in Australia recently although I didn't get along to one of their concerts ... Enjoy yourself in Toronto ...

Cheers ... Colleen

PS: Keith was to visit Oz this coming week and you can imagine how sad but "bloody" supportive his aussie fans feel for his situation ... I spoke just recently about life being a head-butting experience and that some take longer then others to understand the difficult issues ...

Keith Urban checks into rehab Sat Oct 21, 2:09 AM ET

LOS ANGELES (Reuters)- Grammy-winning country music star Keith Urban has checked into a rehabilitation center, with actress wife Nicole Kidman "at his side," his spokesman said on Friday.

"I deeply regret the hurt this has caused Nicole and the ones that love and support me," the singer said in a statement released through his publicist.

The 38-year-old performer, who won a 2005 Grammy Award for his hit "You'll Think of Me," did not disclose the location of the center or the nature of his treatment.

He has acknowledged struggles with cocaine and alcohol in the past.

"One can never let one's guard down on recovery and I'm afraid that I have," Urban said in the statement. "With the strength and unwavering support I am blessed to have from my wife, family and friends, I am determined and resolved to a positive outcome."

On his Web site, the New Zealand-born country superstar told fans that he was "calm and optimistic about the future and finally coming to terms with the reality of my condition."

Kidman, who won an Academy Award for portraying Virginia Woolf in the 2002 film "The Hours," canceled a round of interviews to promote her upcoming film "Fur," in which she plays photographer Diane Arbus.

Publicist Paul Freundlich said that because of the treatment, Urban would suspend appearances for the release of his CD "Love, Pain & The Whole Crazy Thing," which is scheduled to hit stores on November 7.

Freundlich said Urban "voluntarily admitted himself to a treatment rehabilitation center last night with his wife by his side."

Urban, whose "Be Here" was one of the best-selling country albums of 2004, and Kidman, 39, were married in June at a ceremony in Sydney.

Now, i'm a huge Keith fan but i'd love to see Jason Aldean nominated somewhere along the way too,his first album is amazing. If he manages to follow up with one that's as fantastic as his first, then Keith and co. have some serious competition on their hands!

Natalie Maines is not paid to espouse her ideas on stage. A lot of people get up on stage and start talking about something they know nothing about. As the Dixie Chicks are quickly finding out, the American people are also free to voice their opinion on whether or not to buy their albums and concert tickets. At a precarious time when U.S. troops needed our support the most, one would think that the Dixie Chicks would be smart enough to understand the sensitivities of the American people, and realize the last celebrity to be so vocal about Bush is now 'Center Square' on Hollywood Squares.

I absolutely love Keith Urban and his wife. They both are extraordinary performers and obviously dedicated to one another, unlike many "Hollywood" couples. That Nicole is standing by Keith while he addresses the addiction issues he has says a lot about what kind of marriage these 2 already have. I think this is a couple that will last for many years to come.
Now, about present day country music in general, some of it now sounds like 1980's soft rock. There are a few who can pull it off, but some of them are just grasping at anything to cut a record. I still love most of the performers and think they are very gifted individuals (or groups, whichever the case may be).
About Tuesday's show: I was astounded at Faith Hill's reaction when someone other than herself won Female Vocalist (or performer?) of the Year!! How embarassing for her! It really showed her true colors and what kind of person she REALLY is on the inside. I was shocked to see her act in such a way. I have always LOVED her music and always thought that she did not have the "diva" complex - turns out that she does have a "diva" complex!!! I was very disappointed in her - it reminded me of how a spoiled brat behaves! I didn't watch the complete show - was Tim McGraw even there? If no, I wonder why not.
I very recently met Tim at a concert and he's even more beautiful in person!
To all you Aussies out there: Your country has some great entertainers. Could you send more, please?!!!

Hi and thanks for your support of Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman ...

I'm Australian, proud and proud of all citizens who step outside the box and step up to put themselves on the world stage in their chosen vocations or professions ... But I'm sure that is the case in most countries when their citizens achieve accolades that brings rewards to them, their families and of course their country ...

We have just had the ARIA awards here last week and a few aussie's to watch although not all classically country ... PETE MURRAY,BERNARD FANNING,POWDERFINGER (Bernard Fanning is PF's lead singer),KASEY CHAMBERS, DARREN HAYES, ESKIMO JOE(rock group - interestingly v/good) and WOLFMOTHER (heavy rock and have been in the USA)...

But of course I'm a little hooked on Keith Urban's music and that's why I'm a little stuck on this forum ... Keith album cd is getting better the longer I listen and his single is riding up the ARIA charts which will absolutely thrill Keith and Nicole ...

Cheers mate and enjoy those aussie music artists ...

Colleen ...

I use to like Faith Hill...but what a spoiled RICH BITCH she is and yes she showed her "true colors." Quite frankly, Carrie Underwood has a much, much, much better voice than old Faith Hill could ever dream of...have you ever noticed watching Faith perform live that she never sounds even close to the recorded version of her voice??? She sucks in person. Hey who is the chick with Kenny Chesney at the CMA awards? It seems to be the same girl as last year, but you know when he won, he did not even acknoledge her in anyway...but did turn around and shake hands behind him including Grecten Wilson..so is it his sister, friend or what? It did not seem like his "date" at all..he just ignored her from every pan of the camera I caught...???

I hear you Bridget, many of the singers in Nashville today have their voices changed by a process of "Voice Enhancement" in order to sound good...otherwise many of them would sound horrible on their records. Carrie sounds much better than Faith Hill does, both in person and on record.

The chick Kenny is dating is one of the "Hoola Girls" in Kenny's "When The Sun Goes Down" video...
