Nucor Employment??

I live in NE Ar and was wondering if anyone had info on the hiring process,schedule,pay, etc for Nucor....

Same as you were told on Blytheville forum...forget it!People are getting laid off,work slowing down and your asking about schedule and pay.Not to be hateful but if you aint figured this one out yet...they don't want ya.

Well the reason i asked about the memphis plant was b/c i was told it was a long process @ blytheville. A friend of mine at from hayti MO got hired at memphis. I asked him how he got hired and he said " i applied, interviewed, and was hired", like it was a piece of cake. His paced to make $70-80 grand, thats why i asked about the pay. Im 33, i asked about the hiring process because, if you haven't figured it out yet.... i've never in my life applied. But thanks for your wisdom and knowledge

If your friend has done hired on,that's your in right there.Again not to be mean but you have to be quicker on the uptake to run with that crowd cousin.Over confidence,being pushy and money hungry are no vices to Nucor.And they don't give that money away,they buy you with it.If you arent willing to place Nucor and production above all else..you will fail.It's a stressfull,fast paced and dangerous culture driven by greed more than anything else,so be careful if you do get on.

I totally understand and yes im not afraid to work and get dirty. I hear that some of the folks losing their jobs @ memphis is b/c they just arent mill material. I was just curious of why it sounded like memphis was hiring and bly isnt. But, again, i think you know as well as i do that good helps hard to find. I tried to contact the Systems superintendant but i got ahold of his son instead. He works for NYS. He said his dad was forced to lay some off a few months ago and 6 of them took the nucor test at staffmark and were quickly hired at nucor memphis. But again, these are hard working guys. I appreciate your help and apologize if i came off rude or offensive. Wish me luck and have a good one!

Does anyone know what is going on at Nucor memphis?

Are they running 24-7 and still hiring or slow and laying off too?

Anyone know the code for the online test?
