There used to be a day when Loyality was a popular trend and it was all about the KIDS. Now it is all about ME ME ME, and what have you done for me lately. Wait until the Capac school board starts pushing the 8 Million dollar bond vote!!

I can't imagine why he would want to stay. There is no money in this district anymore. So much has been cut. It's not about education here anymore or what is best for the kids, it's about what else can we cut. That and the income level of the new people moving in is going down with houses practically being given away here. We have lost some of our best teachers because we can't afford to pay them as good as everyone else. The writing is on the wall, do the math. Capac schools are failing.

You are so right, they are failing...I hear that things will change, but alas....there is never any progress...Things need to really straighten up here, or they are going to lose many many students...It isn't about the kids anymore...I we've heard is Cut, Cut, Cut..school needs to look at ways that it is wasting money!

Makes you start to think what is really going on, is there more to it, why are all these soops wanting to leave the smaller districts?? Do they want out before the walls come crashing down or what??

With the financial situation of all schools in Michigan, but mainly in these smaller town, I think that Schools boards in the area have been talking about perhaps combining Superintendents...meaning, one super for every 2 or 3 schools...I've heard lots of talk of this...I've seen that 87% of cost at the school district here is staff. Well what better way to save money for a district than to share the cost with another district for the Super's pay...Which here is $118,000 I believe. I really believe it will come to that soon. I also believe that the school district needs to looks an how much money it is wasting right now.

I think you are totally right about this situation.. I have also heard the same things. With the rising costs of everything it is time to research what can be done and where can these schools start saving.. This is such a sad day for so many place across the USA,rising food prices, and fuel prices, it has hit so many so hard, once you have made as many cutbacks as possible, and are left with the bare minimum, what is left to cut, pretty soon we will all be operating on a skeleton budget, barely able to support the framework of our lives. So sad..

Well, it looks like he is looking to get out again. I sure hope that our school board will stop extending him this "courtesy" of extending his contract while there is still time left on it. He is down to the final 6 candidates in Mt, Morris Schools
