I will agree they are over paid and they act like everything comes out of their pocket.. why can u go to another county and apply for and get the same thing in a week and it take a month or more and signing your soul over to get it in izard county if u even get it at all. Little Rock don't understand why it takes so long to get anything done in izard county--- if u ask me it is like everything else here run my the good ole boy politics.

you people should shut-up, at least they(dhs workers) are working for what they have.you ,on the other hand are probably mad because the dhs turned you down for food stamps. I'm not nocking someone who has lost a job and need help for a short period of time, but let's be honest, a lot of people abuse this service and many other services that are provided by DHS because they are too LAZY to work. I suspect one or two of the posters prior to me would be this type of person.

No am not a lazy ass as u say but i know there are some that do abuse the system, which makes if rough for people that do need it. I have recently become disabled and need help, but the way its looking I will die before I get any help from melbourne dhs. As for working I have worked for 40 years and would love nothing more than to go back to work but I can't. You have no idea what its like to be my age and not be able to do anything, and never had to ask for help of any kind, but now that I do can't get it.

my g/f works for dhs in batesville and is a supervisor of sorts she works damn hard for her pay and has a tremendiously stressfull position and she sees the stats from the melbourne dept each week and they are all timely sounds like a bunch of disgruntled ppl but i do agree melbourne is ran by the good ol boy system and that needs to be changed
