I just dont understand how the system works. In some parts of the country, some people would recieve a $1,000,000 bond... but in the U.S.A. or in Texas, someone would recieve a $120,000 bond and for what?? So that they could get out on bond?

Agreed. The law in Texas is a little different. According to Texas law, bond should be set at an amount that will guarantee the presence of the defendant at trial. It is not to be used as an "instrument of oppression." In other words, there is a preference towards releasing people on bail rather than keeping them in jail. Crazy.
