in god we trust

Just wondering why this is on american money. This is suppose to b a free country where u can have any religon. So that money could just as well say in allah we trust or buddah.............

God don't care if they do or don't put his name on currency. This is a free country and people are free to practice any religion they choose and so it should be. I'm not worried about other religions they can print all they want where ever they want, practice what ever they want. It's not going to change how I believe. If the government want to endorse a religion I don't care so long as they don't forbid me from practicing mine.

Just to clarify: Allah is an Arabic word meaning "the God." Last time I checked, American History taught all of the wars were not started by Ameicans. Freedom of worship is only one of our rights, among the right to bear arms. But if you are a vistor to the United States, Don't knock who believes in God. The United States of America believes in GOD enough to print our money with that statement on it. If you want play money, buy a Monolopy game and have fun. Japan, Germany, Korea, Vietnam, to name a few countries, have a different kind of money, I suggest you try moving there. Don't bother sending a post card, you may need all the loose change you can obtain ther.

Well that's just silly. We stole this land there should be a peace pipe along side the creepy pyramid with an eyeball. The United Stated does not believe in god because it an institution that's stuck on ideals of it's founders. I don't care what the dollar says as long as I can get me a soda with it. This country is a melting pot and it should put away one god mentality and stick to it's idea of separating church and state. But to me it's a phrase that can mean anyone's beliefs. If you are an athiest then why do you even care, just let others do as they do and if you do care you are probably skeptical and need to change your FB status to Agnostic.

I think that anyone who is offended by someone elses beliefs must be weak in their own. I doubt anyone has ever turned to or from any religion because of what was printed on some money. It makes that piece of fabric no more or less powerful. I at least hope the Lord don't require me to have a pocket full of money with his name on it to show my faith. I'm to poor. All people have souls not just Americans and Christians . The God I believe in loves me no more for being American. I'm kinda proud of it. Being free is a nice little bonus that was earned by many people of many different beliefs, cultures and races. Forcing beliefs and practices on others falls into my definition of dictatorship doing it in the name of ANY religion does not make it any more American. I do not feel like "In God we trust" being printed on money is forcing anything on anyone. I see no loss or gain for God or America either way. Its trivial really on both fronts.

Sorry I hate posting from a phone. To make up for me confusing you I leave you a song of ones compassion for their faith which I generally to ignore a persons faith unless someone's pushing on me then I don't want to hear it. I do love hearing the reasons why someone believes what the do, from the heart without quotations and so called facts. I like to hear why it makes them a better person a fills a part of their soul. And that's why the country put god on the dollar as mentioned, it has many meanings. We need religion. It gives people comfort and keeps people in line and together.

We dont need religion. Its for weak minded people. I have made it through life just fine. My morales keep me in line and my family is all i need for comfort. People put so much into what if instead of whats 100% real. And when my time comes and if there is a god im not to worried because i will have lived life to its fullest and morally right. And if im judged for that i dont want to go.
