frankster don't be so ignorant, if your sister was a prostitute would you be a pimp!!! Mr Lopez worked very hard in his campaign and his victory was won fare and square, unlike other Politics. This is what a democratic party is all about.

Zapata is not a drug hole anymore than anyother city like San Antonio, Austin,etc. There are good families w/values & dreams of a better life through hard work & education. I disagree w/Frankster when he implies that Judge Joe Lopez's funds came from his brother's illegal activities. His brother broke the law and made his OWN serious mistake. Frankster, are you accountable for all the wrong mistakes your brother or sister make and are we to assume that you too were involved? Do not be ignorant and ridiculous. Know the family before you make your statements. Do not ASSUME anything. Know the FACTS.

I think drugs in Zapata are very bad. I lived in west Tx and never saw weed or coke. I think it so sad that all thes young kids get involved and ruin their lives.

I've worked in the Zapata court system for many years, and for everyone's information, the majority of those going to court are not locals, but "move ins" or "outsiders" that made themselves at home. As for Joe and Julio, I've known both of them all my life. Julio, like many others, made a mistake and he's paying for it dearly! Joe had nothing to do with it, if anyone here really knows him, then you'd also know that my friend is too proud and honest to want to be involved in anything that would degrade him.
And drugs, well they are everywhere, if you look for them you'll find them.

i once lived there too but i moved so my children would not see how corrupt the town really is . my ex husband was a narcotics officer who did what he had to just to get extra money and he worked for the idiot meme martinez so the way i see it u could know someone their whole lives but u still don't know everything about them.
