I am voting for NEWT whether I throw my vote away or not!I am at least voting for my choice.Read NEWTS` last book.He backs the Fair Tax Act, which eliminates income taxes, freeing up money to be invested in business. You ONLY pay a sales tax, which keeps the RICH from skating around their obligations to pay taxes on their money. Our taxes MAY go up slightly but your NOT paying income taxes which is how much,20% of your income NOW? You will bring home that $400.00 pay check instead of $325.00 or LESS!

i would think the rich peoples first obligation would be to create jobs.

like it or not, we give corp tax breaks because they spread wealth to workers, who in turn pay tax.

besides, the fair tax is the same thing i am talking about that would make more tax evaders and more people who cant afford to survive around tax working.

not to mention, newt got caught with his hand in the cookie jar several years ago. red handed.

newt is far from a change.

the fairest thing about the "fair tax" is its name on paper. the reality is? they cant even work the numbers out to be fair. lol

not to mention, you seem to disregard the difference between your income tax and your ssi etc.

without abolishment of medicaire, medicaid, social security, you still wont bring home your 400 bucks for 400 bucks.

of course, one can only imagine, how high the actual sales tax would eventually get. you realize we are still paying for the spanish-american war, right? lol

army mom... they are all thieves.

the dems want you to think "the other side is the problem".

the reps want you to think the same thing.

NO concept that ONe cannot do well if the next does not....

and i do hope, for the sake of your argument, you used the wrong number . 800k ? thats like calling the 75 cents you dig out of the couch a "surplus" when we are talking about govt, even state govt. hell, even local govt. that would be exactly.... 16 workers at 50k a year. so....:/ not even the cost of our electric dept :/ even worse when you want to go down the "whos pocket did it come out of " path.... how many people are there in ohio, 10 million?:/

anyone else remember the coin deal?

blehhhhhhh

they need to budget what they need, collect what they need.

EVERYTIME, from our own homes to our federal govt, EVERYTIME they get more than they need, what happens? lol

Scott Niswonger was a Van Wert native and established a transportation entity (Landair) in Greeneville TN. He's been a major donor for projects in TN, but had an opportunity to lead a privately funded effort to add the performing arts center to the new high school when it was built. He fronted the project to get it off the ground and other philanthropic residents followed up. Apparently they received domestic donations from all fifty states and some from residents overseas.$ 10M+ of private money plus an operational Foundation which is downtown and I think they donated back to the community. They book top acts and plays from all over and draw from Ft Wayne, Lima, Dayton and others. I toured the facility and it's a really nice as a venue. Visit if you can. They have a website.
I worked on the old Kennedy Plant when a battery recycling company needed renovations. We had to put in haz-mat showers, per EPA & OSHA regulations.....Aconcrete coring company severed a panel feed to a breaker panel while cutting through 8" of slab. WATER AND SPARKS ! The EPA and OSHA ended up closing them down.
There's a wind turbine group trying lease ground in eastern Shellby County and there's already strong opposition. 500' tall, the height of a 40 or 50 story building.

Hey Free, I looked at your bridge on satellite, that's a major CSX line east and west. They definately won't let that shut down their eastern connection to Indianapolis which is where that leads to the west of you. They're probably trying to pry money from the state to get help on a new bridge and the state oughta help out with as much tax as they pay on a mile of track every year.
.
As far as trying to get hold of a used rail car or an old caboose, I'm going to list the links to the bigs in the united states but you might have better luck just calling up RJ Corman. They're a shortline in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky and I would say the least impersonable to communicate with and get useful info from.

Those are the class I US owned railroads. You can try CN or CP but just like dealing with unions, how big a headache do you really want? That's always been my mindset when it came to dealing with those two.
.
As far as Niswonder, I've heard the name before and the connections with philanthropy and all but why couldn't Landair be set up in Van Wert? It had to move to a state with a more favorable cost base structure than Ohio??? That's a big surprise.... Not.
.
Van Wert is a microcosm of what's going on in small county seat towns across Ohio..... Ain't nobody moving there making any jobs, except for wal mart maybe... Doesn't matter that they have plenty of available space next to highways or railroads... Job creators know full well Ohio is flooded with people with mindsets like Clueless and Army Mom.... They will vote to make it more miserable for job creators in spite if themselves having a damn job or not, EVERY STINKIN TIME....
.
They steadfastly refuse to give an inch even though it might mean 1,500 new jobs at $60k per year..... So what if you're giving the job creator a $200 million dollar tax break.... That's still roughly 27 million more in income tax per year than what was being generated previously, and it still comes from the damn job creator......
.
They just can't comprehend........ So, Ohio...... Just fail!!!!

Also meant to add that was a damn shame about Kennedy Kit.... What VW really needs is a 1,500 job outfit to come in and it would really help cut down a lot of the BS that's cropping up around there.... Like I say, that place is the microcosm of the state... Meth heads, theivin, pretty much goin straight to hell and to damn many dumbass people like army mom that think it'll somehow get better if they vote out Kasich.

Blame K & B! That will solve all wrongs. What we need r higher taxes, especially on the well to-do, more govt spending, more abortions, and homo marriage. Then we'll all be richer & happier. Vote UAW-CIO!

Dumbass, csxt can probably run routes completely AROUND Ohio if they wanted to and then where would you be?????? Probably in not much worse of condition than you are now only, then your condition has even less chance of getting better.

You mean MONIES OF THE NOBLE WORKIN CLASS PEOPLES.....? And where did they get the money??? Working a job for a company maybe???
.
You want to take csxt money and redistribute it to the people who buy crap with it, mostly from China.... You FAIL to see that maybe if you keep a bridge in place for csxt, they can keep paying over $5,000 per mile of track in taxes the next hundred years.......
.
But at least you have your priorities..... And your priorities are why Ohio is currently down 71 billion in wages clueless.....

$5,000 per mile of track in taxes due to Ohio every year is a conservative estimate from years ago. It's probably closer to $10,000 per mile of mainline track anymore.

What point are your trying to make with that stupid statement. Should the people that make the monie be able to spend ( their ) monie they way they want. We already give enough tot he state. Let Mr. KSUCK spend the state monies which we already paid. So YES we are still paying for it.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Capricorn

Don't take any risks when handling your finances today, because there are strange things going on. Someone may not be as straightforward and honest as usual, or can't explain themselves properly, which leads to misunderstandings and false assumptions. If you're spending money, make sure you're charged the right price and given the correct change. And don't let your wallet or purse out of your sight, in case you mislay it or someone nabs it.
