This is the first that I heard of that. I grew up with Marian and loved her dearly. Well I was 12 at the time. I still pass the place she was killed several times a week and think about her often. I guess I just never got to get any closure on this.

What does most of this dribble have to do with cold cases in Akron. Please take your childish dribble someplace else. Most folks are looking for information or closure on a traumatic incident that impacted their lives. It gets very annoying having to read through the rhetoric to actually find information that we want.

The family members of the victims need to light a fire under someone's ass to get cases re-opened. The police have a better success rate of solving newer crimes before they go cold. A family member of a murder victim needs to be their voice! You must literally harrass your police department and politicians so, that your case is NOT forgotten. Let them know that you want and expect answers! The police may have hundreds or thousands of unsolved cases that need solved. They are always going to take a back seat to recent crimes that have been comitted! Wake up people get involved! Demand answers! Don't just sit on the side-lines!

Recently I have thought a great deal about this case. As Steve stated, my parents were dear friends with her family. My dad is (was a pastor) and I remember going to Marilyn/Marian (I thought it was Marilyn) home after her death and going by her bedroom and remembering that her mother left it as it was. Interesting, I mentioned to my husband within the last week that I want to talk to my mom about this case and better understand it as an adult before my mom passes. I have thought of this family frequently. Like Ruth Ann, it had a big impact on me, as well.

I agree. It is sad to think that there are guilty people among us, walking free. But I hope it is just a matter of time.

If cheap a$$ Donnie boy would put more money in the police force, and less time trying to Barney Fife it, maybe some crimes would be solved.

krisa pantaliano case was investigated by US Park Service
as with most of the death investigations mentioned on this thread it looks like 2 were apd investigations over thirty years ago. and 1 from 05 that was resolved by a spontaneous confession. the rest were summit county sheriffs, federal agencies or outside cities.
not saying the other law enforcement organizations didn't do there job or apd does a better job. but if you want to "light a fire" under someone's "ass" make sure its the right ass.
its traumatic enough for the families when someone is murdered and possibly more so when the animal has not been caught.

This is mostly for

Jennifer from Wadsworth and
Elkay from Akron

Don't know if your still monitoring this thread, but I just discovered it today. If you are still interested in the case of Kathy Wiltrout Bevington - I know some more of the behind the scenes stuff. And I can say that there are still some members of the family who haven't gotten over the incident after 37 years.

Gaucho,

Are you a family member? I just checked this site after several months. I have no new memories, other than what I have already posted here. I still think of Kathy fondly. Although her children are grown, I am sure the hurt is still there. Please know that she is not forgotten.

To elkay

My mother heard of this story when she was younger. I also tried finding information and there seems to be none. From what she heard the husband had an alibi, but was also told it must have been someone she knew because it seemed she left the store with no resistant. You would think they would have something more about her on the internet in this day of technology and knowledge. But I guess not.

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Sagittarius

The mood is considerably lighter as the Moon enters Aries and your fifth house of romance and creativity today; plan to enjoy a good time tonight. Make a play date with your inner child and forget about all your responsibilities for a few hours; you've been working hard and deserve time off for good behaviour. Just remember, no drinking and driving... hire a cab if you plan to go out for the evening.
