Singer Al Martino, who played the Frank Sinatra-type role of Johnny Fontane in "The Godfather," died Tuesday afternoon at his childhood home.

He will be missed, his voice and talent gave joy to all who heard him sing.
South Phila has lost one of their own, it's a great loss. He was a source of pride to all of us who are from that part of Philadelphia.

A very great talent. They don't make 'em like him any more. He will be missed.

I find it a real shame there wasn't much mention of his death in the Philadelphia news .
