There is a degree of validity to all the points you make, and a second side to their stories. I am not proud that we have through history made mistakes and utilized corupt dictators to achieve a greater goal, as we are now in Afghanistan, but the world will never be an ideal place, and Utopia is just that, unattainable. We have never asked or taken anything from the peoples we have liberated except ground to bury our fallen soldiers. We are the last great hope for the oppressed of the world, and no one has advanced the standard of living for mankind as this nation has.

john kerry was a decorated war hero and had a distinguished recorde in the u.s.senate.al gore was also a very good senator and was among those who played pivotal roles in keeping america in the technological forefront.people are fond of saying he said he created the internet when in fact he said no such thing.what he said was that he played a key role in getting govt.funding to research and develop the internet,as it was a govt.research project from day one.these two men also served honorably in the us military and were in viet nam.and i'm here to tell you there were no safe places in viet nam.i'm a liberal and proud of it,and know quite a few other liberals and to suggest that we don't love our country or would do it harm just because we don't believe as you do is what really endangers our country.

one more thought if liberals and dems are so dangerous to america,how come their control of both house of congress throughout almost all of the cold war led to them approving the funding of all our powerful weapons from a bombs,h bombs,icbms,nuculear subs,cruise missiles which was personally pushed by j.carter and approved by a dem.congress,r.reagan's huge military budget was approved by supposedly cowardly and dangerous liberals and dems.get your facts straight before uttering statements that might make people consider you a mental midget.

My recollection of albert gore was a punk whose father kicked him in the ass when he announced he was going to seek a CO deferment.

again check your facts.al gore was an army journalist in viet nam,he choppered all around viet nam interviewing troops in forward areas and came under fire a few times.now having been there i can tell you choppering around anywhere in viet nam was dangerous.also being a senators son he could have easily avoided service or going to viet nam if he had chosen do to so.there are even photos of him in dangerous places if you are of a mind to seek the truth.by the way how much time did your conservative heroes cheney,limbaugh,bush,oreilly and others serve in nam.then others say he was there only 5 months,well im here to tell you that a lot of people got killed within their first few days in nam.and everyone that served with him testifies to the fact that he never used his father's position or power to gain special favors.again do some research,dislike him if you want for his politics,but his service to his country was honorable.i didn't vote for bush1 or mccain but i never denigrated their military service.with todays internet there is no need to be uninformed.

Take a look at the 2 biggest democratic states in the country. California & NYS. The 2 biggest and have been democrat/liberal since the beginning of time. Take a look where their economies are. Both are in the crapper. This should be an example of what the democratic party is doing to this country. Let's bring this country back to its glory where everyone was working and we all had jobs. Everyone is currently on welfare and the government since Obama has taken over is 6 trillion more in debt. Your kids & grandkids will be thanking you for screwing them I'm sure.
