Barrett absolutely destroyed Casey, winning with better than a 2 to 1 margin.

That's what happens when a candidate (Casey) decides to run on an ethics platform, yet he himself had some questionable ethical lapses that the voters became aware of.

You obviously don't have the honor, yes HONOR, of knowing Bill Casey. There is no one I've known who does have more integrity, character and ethics. Always has, always will. It's what he's made of. So you're PO'd because you didn't know that he goes by 2 names, his given name and the name all his friends and family and community know him as? And you didn't know that he did consultant work? He pours his heart and soul into everything he does, family, community, work, church, consultant work, volunteer work, supervisor races. You would have had an A #1 supervisor. Your loss will be someone else's gain, as Bill will continue to devote his time, energy, intelligence and talent to another worthwhile cause. Bank on it.

One who knows: Do you think it was right, and ethical, for Casey NOT to reveal on ANY of his various campaign bio sites that he was currently employed by an Albany lobbyist firm? Yet he did list all his CURRENT volunteer affiliations proudly, which was the right thing to do.

Do you think that maybe Casey was a little worried that voters may not like the fact he was employed even part-time by a lobbying firm?

It doesn't matter now, because Casey got the political stuffing knocked out of him in a landslide yesterday. But I can assure you if his opponent had been found to be working for a lobbying firm, using a different name than the one he was running as, Casey and his cronies would have been trumpeting that from the highest tower in Clifton Park about how "unethical" and "shady" his opponent was.

Like I said, if you're going to run on ethics, don't be hiding ANYTHING from the voters these days. There's too many ways to find stuff out.
