This man needs to learn to just keep his mouth shut! The things he says are just too stupid for words and then to compare himself to the President of the United States is just beyond idiotic!! He should realize that even tho they are a sovereign nation the still have to abide by the laws of the United States and the state they are located in. If all the sovereign nations were allowed to ignore the laws of the US, just think about what chaos would abound!
Why can't he just face the fact that those people that got killed broke the law, they shot at the police first and continued to run and then have a shoot out with them! That's why they are dead!!! Clean up your reservation and quit letting your people run amok and think they are above the law!! Talking the trash that you continue to talk is not helping to settle matters with the sheriff's. I don't blame them for not wanting to cover the reservation, not when their lives might be in jeopardy. It's either shoot to kill or be killed.

1. Yes I think some of the comments made were unnecessary. Alot of people were frustrated by the fact they couldn't go home, find out what was going on and even locked down in their community. I wasn't aloud to leave the reservation for 3/4 of a day and had to make arrangments for someone to pick up kids.
2. Although there was shooting involved, I believe the situations could of been handled differently. The sheriff's persued and confronted in a hostile manner, they put themselves in that situation, they could of waited for "SAFER" resources to control the situation. I don't think one police car was hit or officer injured, one window was cracked from a rock during the pursuit.
3. Tribal member shot in the back in Hemet while fleeing on foot. Officer thought he saw a gun, non was recovered from the scene.
4. Because of recent activities I've been monitoring a public scanner more closley and heard most of the radio activity durning the last two incidents.
5. 3 incidents, 3 tribal deaths.
6. 900 + tribal members, 1/2 a dozen incidents does not make all of Soboba criminals.
7. Soboba had to PAY!!! the sheriffs to patrol. Now all of a sudden (after the contract was not renewed) they want to exercise public law 280?
8. Violence is everywhere, what about all the good that comes from the tribe? All the jobs, sponsorships, donations?
9. Nothing happened near the casino as the news says. The only thing going on there was the sheriff command post and them holding all the workers and customers. Absolutley no reason to do so.

You forgot the most important fact of all, Sheriff's are trained to shoot to kill....so if you're dumb enough to think that they won't shoot back....you're dead.
There is no excuse for somebody shooting at people, sheriff's, fireman, ambulance drivers (these aren't the only shootings that have occurred on the reservation) and what "safer" resources are you talking about? The Swat Team?"

The fact is that Salgado ran his big mouth before he assessed any of the situations and considering he's the tribal chairman, that is not a good thing! A person in that position needs to THINK before he acts.....or look stupid, as he did.

Those are the Facts like them or Not It seems that you people arent seeing the whole picture at hand yeah there was shots fired at police and they shot back and killed, But there is certain procedure to follow and they did none of that thats what this whole thing is about. It seems that people never want to believe the truth even when its right in front of you,Just because they are Sheriffs doesnt mean that everything they do is always right But i guess to you people it is.
