How is it this tribe doesn't have its own police force and fire fighters?

Why pay for your own police and fire when you can keep the money for yourself and then complain about the service you get? Sounds like a win/win to me. Salgado probably needs a new Hummer to drive around in. Anything smaller cant carry him.

Why should tribes have to pay extra people to protect the reservation. What tribal members are not citizens, we don't deserve the same right you have to be protected by our local police department?What makes you more worthy? Keep your jealousy to yourself. If you need money why don't you ask the Chairman maybe he can lend you some because he is a very good person who is only trying to help and protect his tribal members. There is no need to talk about a person you know nothing about.If you don't like the Tribe or it's tribal members then just stay away from them and mind your own business.

the white men dont need to be up there in the firs place. if they had a problem they needed to talk to the chairman. because its hard to trust the white men after all they have done to the native americans already. there the ones that put us on the reservations and said here this is yours. well if its ours then we say who can and cant be up there.

So let me get this straight...in civilized locations (called cities) if a police officer needs to investigate a crime, they are supposed to go to the city manager or mayor (chairman) and talk to them about it before continuing the investigation?

That is what you are saying should be done on the rez...does that make any sense? No it doesnt and goes to show how backwards and disfunctional the tribal thinking process is. The only reason the tribal chairman wants to be in the loop is so that he can notify his friends they are under investigation and not tell his enemies. Politics 101.
