Too bad the stoplight wasn't in Spanish! The poor victims, cheap labor, cheap un-educated truckers are a dime a dozen. You get what you pay for!

this IS NOT a race issue. this is a truckers issue
and an issue that the police dept needs to take a serious look at. I know Preston, the one that was run over on 121. the truck driver also ran a red light. these truckers need to slow down and the police need to do a better job patrolling 380 and 121. it makes me sick to see so many people getting hurt and killed because the truckers are trying to save time and get to where they are going faster. the people that drive regular cars and trucks d not stand a chance with the 18 wheelers and not all truckers are guilty.

Truckers running fast r not just trying to save time. There trying to put food on the table. When I started trucking I soon realized I could not make enough money just abiding all speed limits. Its a vicious trap. You grow up dreaming of being a truck driver and soon realize the only way to make money at it is to break the law. Truckers dont get paid by the hour, its by the load,. It takes about 3 a day just to break even(if you dont own truck). If you were to never speed thats your whole day. Kick it up a notch and youve made some profit. Isnt that why you work?----Profit

I have been driving a truck for 35 years, and I have not seen it so bad than it is today, you are right there is many drivers that are uneducated and from foreign countrys,But I have some answers for you,The first thing is the supply and demand,we are still 350000 truck behind what we need to supply the nation and keep up demand, and the goverment will do nothing to improve the requirements to drive a truck, the more educated drivers you get the more money you will have to pay,we use to be in the same category as electricians and plumers and good tradesman but know more,it is sad situation,it was a good profession.
