Wow! Good questions!
I think is was all of the above and do not forget the Risha/Tedesco/Holtzman/Brewste r connection. |

Looks like this in-justice just won't go away. Maybe it is just like our new project manager in the sense that it is the gift that just keeps on giving.

Pat Risha connection.

Help Robin and Phil get MASD jobs! |
lets not forget Gobel.... |
George is only partially in with the band of brothers. He is well connected to JB and Tedesco. Recall that Tedesco was school board member and chair of the building and grounds committee that hired Mon Vally Construction Management in 1996 with a big up front payment and highest proposal just like PPM this month? Current state corporate records still show Gobel as a senior officer in MVCM. Tedesco ignored a much lower proposal in 1996 from Cunzolo who remained on as the AE. This is the Tedesco/Gobel link. Some speculated in 1996 that Tedesco and other "well connected politicians" may have been silent partners in MVCM. Perhaps someone might ask George about that at the next SB meeting? Many tried to find out who the partners were but failed. Rumor on the street is that Holtzman might provide George with an opportunity to get on with his life's work. And then replace him with the old standby - Cambest. Guess who the solicter is today for WM superintendent Risha and the WMSB? I seem to recall that when George and Risha were affiliated with South Allegheny SD, that they did participate in the mutual admiration relationship. Could George end at WMSD? Anything is possible in SW PA politics --- just like Fantasy Island. |

Don't get it twisted, the voters on this poll got it right
The voters on this site got it right on. The Slick Six won and covered it up and are planning the next cover up strategy to explain their new found wealth. They should try to develop a unique and bullet proof narrative to justify a sudden surge in wealth that is not too suspicious, but defendable. How about these valid explanations? Those Nigerian emails are not a scam; I got a nice fee for responding. Those Russian emails are not a scam; their fees are higher I never really knew my lost spinster aunt, but she remembered me in her will I really had some good winnings in Vegas and they forge to notify the IRS if you tip them. Those new slots the Three Rivers really pay off good and my friend did not issue a 1099 with my correct SS number. The Meadows slots pay off higher to compete with Pittsburgh. I am not telling the bank the ATM made one big mistake during the storm. Wow! Did I make a killing on buying some long options before the stock market surge? I withdrew some money from my IRA account. I forgot about the stack of U.S. Government Saving Bonds in the closet? Wow over 40 years old. I guess my late father was keeping them from Mom! Yea, my slick and late old man never told us about the numbered Swiss account. I now believe he was good at making moonshine. This sports betting is profitable. And of course, I won it in a card game. And of course, I won it in a crap game. |

The MASD did the right thing to hire Tedesco and PPM.
Chairman Joe was very articulate and eloquent while providing excruciating details on how he read and understood every word or the RFP and the Tedesco contract. He was a Dale Carnegie and DC paradigm on neutralizing the alleged erroneous statement attributed to come from his direction that Smith was too small to be the CM but Tedesco’s team of one at $253.00/hour was large enough. Also, he expounded about how his B & G committee agonized for hours to evaluate and ensure that the taxpayers got the best deal although is was a little pricy at $720,000 over the lowest proposal and the only proposal that required $232,000 up front. Chair Joe knows you only get what you pay for, so he wanted more for the MASD. Chairman Joe is prepared to move to the next level of elegance because he has rapidly outgrown his chair position. Dr. Brinkos should mentor him and expedite securing his superintendent papers. A person of his talent has to be expeditiously developed and is prime candidate for the West Mifflin SD superintendent’s jewel. Nice job Chairman Joe and the MASD taxpayers are very relieved and comfortable that a $50 million endeavor is being supervised with your acumen. You are a champion of transparency, logic and fairness and we are fortunate to have your expertise serving the taxpayers. Thank you for your service and leadership. |

The SB was asked many questions about why they hired Tedesco at last nights meeting...they didn't answer any of them. They knew they couldn't answer the questions truthfully. Instead they tapped danced around the issues and blamed things on hear say. Does Joe know what a RFP is? It's a shame I feel bad for MASD .. is anyone honest does anyone care. Each month you go to a meeting and want to hear something that they have to report on....each month nothing to report... nothing at all.. how can that be??

He was hired because in his 12 years on the school board (10 of which he was grounds chair)he mastered the art of receiving kickbacks. Now that he is on the other end he learned how to give them to assure he would get the project managers job. It is nice to know that 6 board members feel it is right to basically tax every homeowner $45 to pay for the great service we will receive from our good neighbor. Chair Joe must think that RFP stands for Right front pocket, because that is what got padded on this deal.
How can you blame this all on chairman Joe? First off you need only 5 votes...he was the sixth vote tedesco had the job even if he didnt vote at all...They are all at fault get it right!!!as for money in their pocket i dont think so ..ask JB and gobel how big their pockets are. but if you go to the school board meetings Chair Joe has voted with Lori and Dave many of times... i think for the most part he votes for what's right personaly i don't know him but just by going to the board meeting he is the only one that isnt tied up somewhere in mckeesport... |

To whomever created this poll, why is 6 board members needed extra cash for Holiday shopping not an answer?
Because he put more money in his 6/10 envelopes, thats why.

Kickbacks, kickbacks, kickbacks

Are you implying that one or more of our elected officials are on the take? The only proof you have is an unexplained $230,000 upfront. If no construction has taken place, where is the $230,000 going? Are you suggesting this will be distributed among the elected officials including the Slick Six? Given all this smell and stick -- I have to agree with you. I am sure you and I would become "a good neighbor" to $teve for $230,000. After all, a good neighbor is priceless. |

Looks like most agree this was a bad hire.

It appears like the Daily News also agrees and has joined the significant majority of opinions on Topix. They were right on with the re-bid call. I hope the six board members are astute enough to heed the Daily New’s urging for a new bid opportunity and that Chair Joe reads the RFP. Jim, Joe C, Joe L, Wayne, Steve and Chris have a face saving way out before the wheels of justice start rotating. Just say that Chairman Joe did not have time to read the RFP and neglected to realize that a compliance evaluation was a requirement. And, the other vendors are still working on recasting their proposal like PPM recast their proposal after knowing what the others proposed. PPM just demanded too much and was embarrassed. PPM reduced their fee to 3.1% to divert attention and it failed. Thanks to the editorial column of the Daily News for a significant community service. |

1 You ever call the Tiger business, or find out who is renting for The Peoples Building, Paul claims that he is but no one rents. What's the track record of Paul, obsessed with Tedesco under aliases? He's the one posting all of this political school board crap, all he ever talked about most of the time. If you're that excitable get help to go around screaming at people and wanting to fight someone get help You too Molly hide behind a girls name and be a man. For all I know you're a man 50 years old, so playing you're a child may be your next game. Maybe you should be supervised and ask mommy for help to not be around Topix, or its an all new family value. Don't like freedom of speech leave, but stop the obsession which is your OCD. I know of Paul talking poorly about his wife how she downs him all of the time. He told his daughter his wife was the crazy one. He had an immense fit about a phone that was worth $500.00 and found it on his truck floor eventually. His daughter returned to him telling him "NO, YOU'RE THE CRAZY ONE!" Some nice politicians and weirdo's calling people crazy around here. Apparently, you all call people crazy you simply do not agree with and will find that you are officially: BLUFF CALLED. |
