DA investigating MASD employee

A McKeesport Area School District employee has been suspended during an investigation led by the state Attorney General's office.

"The district is aware that allegations have been made that may result in criminal charges being filed against a district employee," McKeesport Area public relations specialist Kristen Giran said Thursday.

Computers were seized from MASD headquarters several weeks ago. Unidentified district officials said the investigation focuses on whether child pornography was on the employee's school computer.

"Upon being advised of such allegations by local law enforcement, the district immediately suspended the employee and revoked all access to district buildings and equipment."

The district declined to name the employee, noting that the suspension is a personnel matter concerning an ongoing investigation. Charges have not been filed to date and the investigation began several weeks ago.

McKeesport Area School Board president Patricia Maksin also said the board cannot discuss any details of the investigation because it a personnel matter.

McKeesport Police Department officials confirmed that they have assisted in the Attorney General's investigation but declined to discuss the case.

"District officials have cooperated fully with law enforcement agencies in all aspects of the investigation and will continue to do so as needed," Giran said. "At this point, there is no indication that the allegations had any link to any other staff or district students."

Giran said the district will address parental concerns in coming days.

A few years ago one other MASD employee was indentified in a State Ethic Commission report that he had pornographic or adult oriented material on his school computer. This SEC report is public information available off the State Ethics Commission website.

Why wasn’t the DA and AG involved in that situation? Why didn’t the SEC notify the AG about the pornographic and adult oriented material on a school district computer?

Another MASD cover-up that was successful held under the radar like the Cornell sex scandal.

How many other situations of that nature is MASD hiding or not aware of.

Police ties are probable as several sit on the board. Names of those are always hidden from public knowledge.

Examples: the route 48 McKeesport accident, those involved not given. McKeesport Police Narcotics Pay Scam. Officer involved in accident years ago in McKeesport. Often, several other incidents can be extra examples.

No conflict of interest. All legal.

There are at least five lawyers that donate to the MDC candidates. Just look up MC and JB public campaign funding records. Gobel is generous. That is how he and Elash got the plush MACM bond counsel gifts.

This is a classic pay for pay sheme.

That was a few years ago. I think he paid back a couple bucks because he used the district computer to file his political stuff for T.J.

The pornography-was it child pornograhy? It did stay quiet for a long time. I HEARD it was a male that wasn't in any union. I also HEARD before Christmas he was asked to go home.
