Yeah, because he was the cheapest and most qualified. Oh thats right he wasn't the cheapest, as a matter-o-fact he was the 2nd highest bidder. At least he is the most qualified to stuff a brown envelope.

The Slick Six and PPM are so arrogant that he may gift them in the open at the next meeting.

Arrogant enough to invoice for $253.00 per hours and Chair Joe has no problem with that.

when will we have people in politics that care about the area and do positive actions with the tax dollars we work so hard for? to me a person in politics should live modest and be a true public servant. it should be about doing for the area first then yourself later.

how can this keep going on with all the negative actions with all this big money?

It is difficult for honest taxpayers and citizens and interested people like you to compete fairly with the "call of the green" and "covert corruption."

My fixed income doesn't allow for my taxes to go up so we can over pay someones buddy by $700,000. This deal stinks. Who ever picked this guy needs their head examined.

I doubt that head examinations for the Slick Six are justice for the appearance of corruption, fraud, and bribery.

They should be investigated and if found guilty forced to resign from the board and be surcharged $230,000.

I don't think there is anything wrong with their
heads. But their honesty, principles & morals are
what needs to be questioned. The mayor & council
included. It seems greed overcomes the embarassment to their name & what their parents & families taught them.

W.L.

The MASD and the Slick Six have a $6 million surplus to "work or play" with; the City is on finanical life support.

Where would the Mayor and Council find some surplus for fun and games?

Yes, feedback from several big ticket vendors is always a potentional source.

Tedesco is and has been a big ticket vendor to the RACM (Gobel the solicitor) and the City.

Here is a question, what is the current fund balance? Lets see what it is in 2 years after this board hires all their friends.

Good point: One school board elect's daughter and one's son are alreadly on their way to joining the MASD "good neighbor" family.

Nepotism is well and good.

The big drain will be the $500,000 a year for three years to Tedesco and the payments on the $60,000,000 bond issues for the construction.

Exactly & this is what the people finally need to understand. If there isn't 'easy money' to be made
here in politics, why would anyone want their children to get an education & stay here ? They can't all be morons & still need Daddy to provide
a way of life for them, can they ? So it seems, politics like crime pays. But then again, here in the Mon-Valley & this city, they are the same.

When we are constantly exposed to all these family members & friends hired due to nepotism that are given city jobs, it's not likely we're getting the most for our money. Sooner or later there has to be one or two of them that lack the intelligence to
know whether to $h!t or wind their watch. And because of 'Daddy' or 'Uncle' we are forced to keep them thru our tax dollars. So now, we are at the point that I believe McKeesport is over-run with these mis-fits at all levels. We as taxpayers don't owe entire families a way of life for generations. Vote them out, get rid of them & let them move on. We need 'NEW NAMES' in politics & the school board especially. Too many professional ass-kissers & puppets for way too many years.

Instead of paying our school taxes by December 31st so our elected officials can throw them away on useless project managers,we should have a McKeesport Tea Party down at the yough. This hiring is wrong in so many ways whomever voted for this guy should be impeached. Remember folks only three (3) of our board members voted against this injustice, and they will soon be off of the school board. Who is going to watch out for your hard earned tax dollars now?

Working hard my whole life and starting to enjoy my retirement,I find this Tedesco hiring very troubling. Although my house is paid for, and I have a little nest egg for me and my wife of 45 yrs, I do not want to have to see my taxes go up because our school board thought it was a good idea to over pay for project managers services by (if I am hearing right) $700,000. Many of us seniors lived on fixed incomes and have a hard enough time buying our prescriptions and paying our bills now, and we can not afford a tax hike so someones friend can make a few bucks by grossly over charging for his services.

$45 average from every property tax payer's pocket is going into PPM's pocket.

$700,000 is almost one mill of school taxes all going to one man's pocket because he is "good neighbor."

I'm in and I will bring burgers and dogs. We can call it New Years Revolution/The Tax Payers Treck. At 8:00 AM we (the tax payers) meet at Tiger Stadium, walk over to the Districts Administrative Offices and sign a Petition which we then take to the first board meeting in January and present to the School Board. Call the daily news and the 3 local news stations to let them know of our plans, maybe then justice will be served.

I am in -- can not wait to have the "good neighbor" and his SB supports and the Slick Six confront this much needed citizen movement.

The $lick $ix never realized how much interest, attention, and reaction that $700,000 would $park!

The only way for the $lick $ix to defuse this is to call for rebids by all.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Aquarius

Unfortunately it won't take much to get your wires crossed, especially if you're trying to keep track of your Christmas preparations. It's hard to work out what still needs to be done. A member of the family is away with the fairies or is being completely fanciful. It's a pest because that sort of behavior can make you feel anxious and harassed.
