i use to live in the tyner area,is jackson county still a good place or not??

To the outsider (one not living in Jackson County) Jackson County is southeast Kentucky's best kept secret. Now what do I mean by that? Well...
the county is beautiful. I hear it all the time. The standard of living is higher than surrounding counties. There is not an excessive number of jobs in the county but that does not seem to hold back aggressive people from having nice farms, homes, and automobiles. Also, your school system is good, with many successful high school graduates that excell in their chosen profession. The county has an aggressive Industrial Development Association. Support those people. They need your help. The county
is a very good place to raise your children, attend church, and become productive citizens. Yes, in response to your question Jackson County IS a good place to live.

I had moved two years ago from manchester ky, I was born and raised near hazard ky. My daughter was always put in special education in clay county schools. She didnt even know how to spell until I took her out one year and home schooled her myself. she was at grade level then. Back to clay county schools where she was again stuck in specail education. I did not understand why? she was at level with every other kid. then I found out alot of them were labled specail ed so they can get more money so I decided to move here. My girl was not labled, placed in a normal class and is doing work I would have never thought she could do. she has been given a chance at life. encouraged to continue on to college. I dont know about much in the county but i can tell you that the school system is top notch. they will get a special reward in heaven for the chance they gave a kid who had no future otherwise.
