Just Saying Mckee, KY	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #1 Jul 6, 2012 If you spend $100 at a farmers' market,$62 goes back into the local economy, and $99 out of $100 stays in the state. If you spend $100 at a grocery store, only $25 stays here. So, where do you want your money to go?

People don't realize what they are doing when they spend their money at Walmart...the money gets transferred to Bentonville, Arkansas every night. I'm sure there are people out there who will say "but look at the jobs at Walmart" but the truth is if you spent your money locally the small businesses would hire more...so the jobs would also be local. Think about it, that buck you save is just making the Walton family richer and your neighbors poorer.
